Finish is good so far and as of about 10mins ago there's a couple of set's of DR Neons heading my way!

Now my quandary is whether I should change to a completely different and new string just before a big show on Saturday? I'm giving up 0.03 per string so there will likely be a wee tweak needed on the 'rod.

Thinking about it, it's a Ritter it's going to rock whatever (especially with my new GB Shuttle 9.0 rig!).....now here's hoping the strings show up in time!

I think you're going to be pleased with the DR's. I had a very used set of ritter steels on mine when I got it, I had a set of DR silver stars (coated bright silver) laying around, and set my Ritter up with those. The neons were identical in gage, so no set up for me unless they have a different tension from the other set, and they don't appear to. Very bright and lively tone, I'm looking forward to seeing how the longevity claims hold up on their appearance.

Post some pics when you get them, we all wanna see!

Honestly, I never thought I would be able to buy one of Jen's creations and have a chance to join this club but fate (and my credit card) have intervened.

I just pulled the trigger on #0931 and I am literally floating on air right now. Bought it off of Ebay and although I wasn't looking for a new bass at the moment I just couldn't pass up the price  and the chance to finally own one of the world's best instruments.

The bass was originally purchased through Brian @ the Low End so if anybody is so inclined you can get a little more detail on the bass there.

Man I am one happy camper right now :D. Peace everybody.

Many thanks Senmen. As I said I wasn't really in the market but the price was just to good to pass up. I'm pretty sure everybody has come across a deal that they couldn't refuse and now I have one as well. The fact that one of my best deals is on a Ritter is too good to be true.:hyper:

Very nice bass, JOEP054...!! And a warm welcome to the club - you have number 36 :)

May I ask what kind of bargain price we're talking here...? It does NOT look like one of Jens' cheaper creations, so I'm a bit curious.

Hi Basdyret. I picked it up for $3,750. I'm not really sure if anyone else would qualify that as a bargain but I felt at that price I just couldn't let it pass. Even though I really didn't have the capital being that I recently just spent my alloted bass funds on an F Bass AC6, I would "find" the money somehow.

I do believe the bass originally sold for around 8K from the Low End. My original reaction to the price was that there has to be something wrong with the bass but after commumicating with the seller I felt he was a really cool guy and I was comfortable enough to pull the trigger. He was moving the bass as he needed funds immediately to purchase another instrument.

I was so excited to get the Ritter, I forgot to ask what he wanted to buy but I can only imagine how good an instrument it must be when you are taking a big hit on a Ritter to fund it!

Without a doubt in all my years of buying and selling this is the best deal I have ever fallen into.:) Makes up a bit for all of the overpriced deals I have managed to be a part of thru the years.

Extremely proud to be Member # 36. Thanks.

Nice deal! That's the price you would pay for a second hand "normal" Ritter. Great price for this one.
On another forum I recently posted this Ritter Roman as one of my all time favourites :)

Here are some pics I took of the Ritter Cora with Frosted Carrara Finish

Wow, that's definitely a bargain in my book as well...! Congrats on an amazing score !

I feel sorry for the seller, though - I'd hate to have to let any of my Ritters go for low prices, but then again, I wouldn't sell them to fund other basses...! :)

The DR Neon's arrived and while I chickened out of putting them on just before my Saturday night gig, I did it yesterday. You can't help smiling when you see how they look!
