Guys,
well, after a longer struggling I must say that I need to sell the bass.
The bass is from July 2010 and is like new. I only played it at home a few times.

Many thanks for looking.

Hello Ritter Owner's Club! I promised family photos a while back and now that I've received my latest Ritter today, I thought I'd show off the boys.

#1016 is now in my possession - a custom built Ritter Roya four string. When Jens and I starting brainstorming ideas for a new bass back in January, I told him I wanted something that was very "purple" - think Prince circa his 1999/Purple Rain era (prince is one of my all time favorite artists).

So, #1016, the "Purple Flame" was created. Jens also wanted to add something special, so one of the pictures is a close up of the amethyst gemstone that he's placed in the body of the bass.

The bass is even more stunning in person and plays like buttah!!!!!!!! Jens and his creations are FANTASTIC!!

Looks like I have to start that Prince tribute band side project (we'll see if the wife lets me have two bands going at once :hyper:)

Wow - we finally got the pics...! Man, what a collection

You're most fortunate. That new purple bass is amazing...! I've been lusting for a similar purple Ritter for years, actually discussed a few options with Jens for one about a year ago, but we didn't really get anywhere. You seem like the kind of man that gets things done ! :D

I emailed Jens after I received and played the purple flame and told him that it was almost like he took the photograph of what shade of purple I had in my mind and made it a reality.

I'm very fortunate and blessed to say the least - to the point of my own embarassment...

ernval,
What a heavenly collection you have!!!!!

For all owners;
I've just launched Ritter Basses Fun Club.
Jens said 'it's wonderful idea!!!!' so I might call this Official:D

Are there any 5 string Okon owners in here? If so it would be greatly appreciated if i could get some measurments from you. I cant afford a real Ritter bass but im considering making my own with similar dimensions. I just need to make sure i can get the right size piece of wood and certain measurments right when i cut it.

Here is a pic of what id like. The most important measurments being the max width, height, and thickness. The width at the narrowest part from the side cuts and height to the horn cuts would be great as well.

Im working with VERY limited resources here. Im a poor college kid living in an apartment. lol

There is CAD at school for the design students but even then i dont know how to use it.

that's too bad... I don't own a Ritter so I can't give you the measurements myself.
If you have a computer and internet, you might want to download google's scketchup, it's a free cad program, very easy to use ( if I could manage it so will you lol) there's tons of videos on youtube on how to use it.
good luck!

Yeah, i keep running into roadblocks. lol

I have sketchup on my computer. My problem is the internet service i have is insanly slow so trying to watch all the vids on how to use the program takes FOREVER. Its exactly what i need and would solve a lot of my problems if i could learn how to use it without watching all the vids. I may have to head over to the school and use their internet and stamp out some of those tutorial vids.

make a search in the luthier's corner, I got some good advice about how to use it over there. there is one particular video that tells you how to take all the design to the exact measurement you want... something like using the measuring tool, and then just typing in the desired measurement and pressing enter. it was that simple, though I can't really recall.
