Just when it was thought "I don't need or want any more basses" this thread shows up.....

Are your inlays off center? That would annoy the hell out of me.

All are centered, except 12th,15th,19th and 21, which are just about 1/16th of an inch closer to the top edge of the board than should be...The other end of those markers are spaced fine.

If you're OCD-free, you won't really notice it.

Gorn: I'm heavily OCDish, and it doesn't really bother me. In fact, with strings on, I barely notice.

Seriously, though, there's maybe 2 coats of satin on there at best. Super fast, raw maple feel all the way.

I agree with what Awesome said....There's nothing rough or grabby about how it feels.Effortless sliding up and down.

I've yet to get hot n' sweaty with 'er...But I'm pretty sure it'll be easy to keep from gumming up.

It's really a shame builders slap PGs on so many models. Totally unnecessary. That body is beautiful.

Got one of these for Christmas. Like the others have said it's heavy, has a few sharp fret ends, and has some rusty hardware. Mine also has a darker piece of wood on the bottom that is slightly off putting but it's not horrible. Not a bad bass though and once I get it set up I think it will play great. I want to put a black pickguard on it, has anyone done that yet. Do you think this one from allparts would fit well? http://www.allparts.com/PG-0755-033-Black-Pickguard-for-Jazz-Bass_p_2699.html
