Red sparkle, and black sparkle. The red one reminds me of the finish on some of the older Modulus Flea basses........Very gawdy.
Niiice! Sound's like a pair I could get down with, but then I do have a pink sparkle Cort.

I had no idea what 12/8 sounded like before this week.
The amount of time you spend waxing your neck, I'm beginning to wonder....![]()
Damn, this one has *that* sound, too.
I'd be VERY tempted to send a deposit on this one. However, I was recently told by someone that "root pounders" aren't allowed to play Roscoe basses.
So, tomorrow night, I'll be "pounding roots" using a pair of Ibanez ATK's. In sparkly finishes. So there.![]()

I'm afraid I'd have to turn my Roscoes in, too, if that's the new rule.![]()

And while I'm at it, If I hafta turn in my Roscoe for being a root pounder, this better be like "Guns for Groceries" or one of those deals. I gotta get somethin' out of it.
God Bless, Ray
It goes by rep/talent level(if you're unknow, they actually make you take a playing test).
Only reason they let me use my Fender is because I gave them a false name....

Who administers this "test"? Gard???? He can be "bought off" with a sixer of the good stuff.
God Bless, Ray
Even if you can pound roots in odd meters like 12/8? I mean that's gotta be worth at least admission to owning a Standard right????

Oh, there's like this whole fedral government division that deals with it.
This stuff goes deep.

Roscoeheads!! Someone please buy this bass!! I got the hots for this one!! Shoot me please!!!

Ray, actually 12/8 is not an odd meter. It is a compound meter, while it's counted as 12 1/8 notes, it's actually 4 triplets, and feels like a "swing" or "shuffle" 4:
1-trip-let-2-trip-let-3-trip-let-4-trip-let
It is the "correct" way to notate a swing four feel, but rarely used. Instead, you will see it notated in 4/4 with the direction to "swing" or "shuffle" the 1/8ths. You do this by leaving out the "middle" triplet, as such:
1-*-let-2-*-let-3-*-let-4-*-let
Which gives that "DUH-d-DUH-d-DUH-d-DUH-d-DUH" feel.
