So ... who here can tell me the diff's in sound between the Bart 'Classic Bass' soapbar option vs the 'Roscoe/Bart' soap option?
Is this a fair statement?:
"... My Roscoe has the Bartolini Classic Pickups which open the tone a bit with the bart preamp. The classics have more of a jazz sound compared to the Roscoe/Barts that have more of the "P" sound...."
Thnx
Which ones might these be?
Uh oh, a used Roscoe that @armybass doesn’t own (yet)
How much neck dive do you get on an LG 6 string? I've never had the opportunity to play one, but I've always assumed the shorter upper horn would cause at least a bit of neck dive with the heavier 6 string neck. But maybe it's mild enough that it would not bother most players? Now that I have finally played and own one, I really like the LG bass in a six string. Not sure if it’s in my head or not but it just seems easier to get around on.

What type felt is on it? Two-piece slate?
Oh, man that’s hot! Sexy! A red Roscoe on a red Simonis cloth pool table! It don’t get much nicer than that. Thanks - yes. It’s definitely a nice vintage table. Has been in the family since my dad bought it when I was a youngster!View attachment 4681406 3 piece slate, older Simonis red felt.
