That sounded great. OHere's a clip that I recorded over ABB's Mellisa using Chromes on my SKB-3005 Roscoe with Chromes. The idea was to get closer to the classic rock bass sound. I thought that they got fairly close.

That's not a Fender, it's a RoscoeLooks great, Steve. Appreciate you sharing. Lots of great gear on the bass side of things. Also, I really like the way you color coordinated your DI (and the trailer frame and fenders) to match your Roscoe bass : )
Also my cable! It’s just hard to see.Looks great, Steve. Appreciate you sharing. Lots of great gear on the bass side of things. Also, I really like the way you color coordinated your DI (and the trailer frame and fenders) to match your Roscoe bass : )
Looks good, Steve. So what kind of stool is that?Played at a little market on a farm yesterday. Husband and wife singer/songwriter gig. Used my board, REDDI for a little presence in the PA and my Genzler combo. Roscoe Classic P with flats was the perfect bass for this type of gig. Really hot (95 degrees) but some good (and free, thank you) lemonade from one of the booths helped. I really like this kind of gig. Lots room to play - or not - and lots of sonic space for the bass to speak.

I don’t recall. My wife got it for me when she got a fancy new office chair for her home office. I use it when I sit and practice. More comfortable than a wood stool or folding chair or whatever. I thought I’d give it a shot out in the “real world” and it worked well. It’s heavy though. My combo amp is lighter!Looks good, Steve. So what kind of stool is that?

Who knew Steve was a set designer as well?
It’s the only P bass that I’ve ever liked - except for a friends ‘59 Fender P bass. But yeah, it’s my “Pino” bass, cheaper than a Fender and maybe better quality. It’s an inexpensive copy of a Fender CS Pino bass!![]()
+Looks like you visited the Bass Shop
NOTHING like a Roscoe fretless.
this video mentions fretless Diamondwood is no longer made because the factory burned down.
can anyone confirm this?
It's true.
You can still get some diamondwood fingerboards but color selection is pretty limited.

Pakkawood (same material, different name) is still widely used for cutlery handles. As others have confirmed, it is true that the factory that fabricated Diamondwood and phenol wood did indeed burn down several years ago. However, I do remember Gard telling me that there were other manufacturers of engineered wood out there that would be comparable but those engineered woods didn’t have the cool looking grain simulation that Diamondwood had (and weren’t available in other colors).
