Roscoe Club

I don't see how that is caused by the Sadowsky since it is a 2 band preamp and the mids are naturally scooped. Perhaps your bass needs a setup and or the neck is not straight?
Maybe “clank” was the wrong word. It’s not fret noise. But there’s a weird mid thing going on to my ears. Maybe that’s why I prefer a 3 band eq. I know a few people in the Sadowsky world said I might like a Will Lee version with the mid circuit better.
I’ll just stick with Roscoe. Hasn’t let me down yet.

I just bought a Will Lee 5 string, and Yes, the mid-range control gives you a lot more options as far as tone control etc......

Roscoe and Sadowsky- two different versions of great.

Play what you enjoy and FEELS best for you. it’s all good

ps: I like and own both

Yes! same here, own and play both....nothing compares to Roscoe's build quality....I still drool every time I pickup my SKB, almost sold it here a few months ago, my wife almost killed me :)

i may switch gears and shop for a Roscoe 5 fretted.

Roscoe 5s any good?
I think most of us have at least one 5er. They’re pretty great, the only real difference is the body style (Century, SKB or LG). The necks are thin and easy to play, and not fatiguing at all. And the B string is solid.

I was thinking/hoping that I would have both as well, but I just didn’t click with the Sadowsky. I wanted to, but I do prefer Roscoe necks and build and weight. I’ve had Sadowsky’s before. I sold them. One day I’ll learn. Taste do change - I play a P bass a lot now and never did before - but I guess I’m just a Roscoe guy. There’s just something to the feel of the neck. To me, that’s the #1 thing. It has to few good and I have to want to pick it up. Sound is next. But honestly, almost any sound can work. I mean, we’re taking Roscoe and Sadowsky here. Still like that every bass, no matter what level, comes from the one and only Roscoe shop.

I placed the order for this four-string LG in November. Talked to Keith last week, and he mentioned that it is in the final stages. Can't wait to get this bass and play the hell out of it. Also in the patiently waiting group. :)

That's going to be a looker for sure! Love the enhanced ash look with the finger board!

Love that fingerboard. Beautiful figure in it. The body is killer too. Congratulations.

So hard to wait when they are at that stage. It’s like, just take a day and put it together. Tuners, bridge, electronics, knobs, how long can it take? Answer, longer than you think when it’s just a few people working. Gonna be a beauty.

Holy Crap! Now this is a neck and tone for which I can fall in love. The Aguilar single coils give a great “jazz” tone. Yeah, they hum when soloed, but I doubt I’ll ever solo them. The original Aguilar 1 preamp is included, but I like the standard Bart 3 band that it has now.

Waiting to get some strings and Straploks and I’ll be good to go. Maybe a little set up and intonation check but it feels pretty decent out of the box.

And it’s so light. It’s like it’s not even there. Wow. Impressed.
