I should have been more specific. Anybody got a not standard LG or SKB with just p pickups please post a pic.I have a Roscoe P bass with a P bass pickup in it.
Century P/J is as close as I can get. Here it is with the man himself.

We’ll I finally decided that if I ever replace the Aguilar preamp in my Century Custom then I’m going to install a Pope preamp. I’ve only had one Roscoe that I installed the Pope in and it sounded wonderful. So I ordered one yesterday. They’re quite expensive but I figure I can sell the Nordstrand preamp and Aguilar (when I finally weaken and replace it) and recoup 2/3 of the cost.
Without a doubt the best overall sounding preamps that I’ve installed in my Roscoes were the Pope and East preamps. Very versatile preamps. The East though was a pain to install. The PCB’s attached to the pots required additional routing inside the control cavity to install.

For those that have replaced the Roscoe Hipshot with a standard Hipshot .708 do you prefer aluminum or brass and why?
I really couldn’t hear the difference Chris. I only tried one brass so the next one I bought I went with aluminum for lighter weight.
