Roscoe Club

Well, I scratched the itch...and bought a couple Mono gig bags for my existing Roscoes. I needed new bags pretty badly so I bit the bullet. Not as sexy as a new bass, practical but necessary.
But those basses will feel like brand new basses inside those new bags, and after all, isn’t that what we want for our basses? :)

Anyone curious as to how the Ernie Ball Cobalt Flats sound on a Roscoe fretless can listen to the tune @ 104:45 on the attached link. It's a live stream so not a super great mix but even a live stream mix can't hide the tone of a Roscoe fretless. The cobalt flats have nice mwah and growl and really smooth feel. Great alternative to the nickel RW's.

I have been using EB Cobalt flats on several of my basses. Interesting that EB figured out how to make them work on 34" and 35" scale basses. The string lengths are perfect for the silk ends to clear the nut on 34" scale bases and work on 35" scale basses too.

I used TI flats before and loved them except for the B string which was a bit blurry sounding to me. My SKB 6 has Cobalt flat B & E strings and TI Flat A,D,G,C.

My only niggle with EB Cobalt flats is that they do not make a 6 string set.

Hey all, could anyone use a Roscoe-spec black Hipshot A-style Aluminum 6-string bridge (18mm)? I switched out a Roscoe bridge and then sold the instrument some time ago, so I'm just cleaning out the parts drawer. Roscoe Club discount applies!
