I don’t remember this one? What is the little toggle for I wonder?
I had it built, I think that was an Audere in there at the time I had it. Loved it but stopped being a 35" scale guy. Still, tempting, even though I'm waiting on a Roscoe to be built now.

Interesting to see a Roscoe "single-cut" in the wild. The Roscoe T variant is more appealing to me than the original, too. The Roscoe trademarks are there, with 5 strings, soapbars with narrow spacing, carved exhibition flame top, beautiful gloss finish, side output jack, and bridge location near body end.
Both basses are cropped at the 15th fret. Roscoe's treble-side bout seems to have a deeper carve with less extension away from neck to the right. Another beautiful Roscoe.

That is a sharp looking bag- not that I would ever doubt or question any gear choice you make
I was talking to another TB’er about the old Undercover bags, which I love, although they’re not as protective as some of the newer bag/case hybrids. He said he and some other musicians had seriously looked into resurrecting the company, getting the designs and all, but it was cost prohibitive, especially to have them made in America…
those Glenn Cronkhite bags are pretty, but they ain’t cheap…

Actually, I played a cool Fender short scale today. A Mike Kerr signature. Orange with gold hardware. It actually sounded really cool. Fun to play as well. Everything is so compact.Steve’s GAS radar is pinging!

Yeah, it’s a nice bass, but it isn’t calling my name as much as my other fretless’ did. And I really don’t want to spend that much any more. I need to get my daughter off to college in a few months. She needs a laptop, among a lot of other stuff. It’s an 1,800 mile trip one way. That’s a LONG drive.
A Roscoe doesn't quite look right to me without a matching headstock. Not sure why, but it's just odd to me.
I’m with you on this. The Classics look fine though (probably because I grew up playing and seeing Fenders w/o matching headstock).
And it’s not just Roscoes. Any boutique bass with an exotic top looks unfinished without the matching headstock.
I guess we’ll have to agree to disagree. While the matching does indeed look great, I think my Standard Plus looks amazing as well.
New strings on the G&L and Koa 5’er. Set up tweaks and strobed all of them. The Classic P as well. Should be good to go for a while.
Backup bass duty will probably fall of either the G&L or the P. Both work fine for that. I will probably still play my Koa 5 most of the time. It’s just such a damn nice bass. When I was doing all my maintenance today, that one took the least amount of work. Just took the set up and was ready to go. The Classic P took the tweaks pretty easily as well. The G&L was fine, but took a little more effort.
There definitely is something special about a more “boutique” instrument. Just the ease of working with it. Sometimes you do get what you pay for...more than just a fancy top or electronics. The instrument is just “better” than anything else if that makes sense.
I’m so glad I had my Century 5 crafted all those years ago, and refinished last year…and that I never foolishly sold it on some dumb whim.

As good as that crazy nice top and uncapped headstock on your bass looks, you playing it takes it totally over the top!
Installed my first Pure Tone output jack today. Those are really nice! Great idea having multiple points of contact for hot and ground.
