My band does play some off-duty gigs, but it is a pain, because we cannot use our military-issued instruments/equipment. We have to rent sound reinforcement gear and pass that price along to whomever is hiring us.

I was in the shop in November and there were lots of new builds in progress. I also have seen a few deliveries of some of the bodies and necks that I saw at the shop (when I visited).
Day one in the studio! Both Roscoes are getting put to use.
I was asked to come back tomorrow to record a couple of the songs over, but with the fretless this time.
Apparently the producer just really loves the tone I get with it. I'm not complaining.

I think my fretless is one of the best sounding basses I've had. I think Keith really shines with these. I use mine at church all the time. Still go fretted for cover band, but we do a couple where fretless would be great. Maybe I'll add it in one day.
A P/J would be fun. There's that 4 string classic on Reverb that is tempting. Price jumped from $1,300 to $1,700 though. Should have jumped when it was $1,300.
This week, I was Blessed and honored to perform on the Grand Ole Opry stage for a Salute to the Troops show alongside fellow 313th Army Band member Warrant Officer 1 Craig Greer, (country artist Craig Morgan).
I believe the look of the Roscoe fit right in with the decor of the stage, and of course it played and sounded great.

No surprise that the engineer admired the Roscoe B. Big surprise in that he confused the LG5 with a Precision (Little Girl v Clydesdale). Sort of like mistaking Mugsy Bowes for Manute Bol, haha. (Although, anyone that got slam-dunked by a 5'-3" player would be surprised.)

I don’t believe that the engineer was implying that the Roscoe looked anything like a typical Precision.
It just did the Pbass thing well and with a great B string as well.
But a funny picture nonetheless!
Since it is the Roscoe Club thread, let's just say that maybe a Precision could possibly, or occasionally do the LG thing well.Lol

They make an awesome P bass. I was playing it just last night thinking why isn’t this my main bass?I guess it comes down to the 7,000 year debate….

The green Pbass is gone. I still don’t hate the LG3000 at GC in Fargo just down the road. Still a little high but maybe they’d be open to an offer. It’s been there a while. I realize I had an LG3000 before but that was jazz pups, not soaps. 
And yes, I am aware that I just posted that my classic P could be my main bass. It’s a sickness. Roscoe’s are my drug of choice I guess. Could be worse, right?

It's been a real treat getting to hear these basses purely as a listener through the mixing and mastering process. It's been a while since I've been able to do that.
