Had the chance to check out the tone on the Mahogany/Koa LG withe the Demeter preamp yesterday. I'd forgotten how clear and glassy the Demeter was (and I had a six with a Demeter not that long ago). A really special slap tone also.

Nothin better in a fretted Roscoe (just IMHO).

I don't know. I can't imagine getting much better tone from my SKB-3005 than I have with an Aggie OBP-3 paired with Nordstrand Big Singles. I have received compliments literally every time I've brought the Roscoe since installing the Big Singles. So, I find myself bringing the Roscoe just about every time. Now if I could just learn to play the thing

I'd like to join this little shin dig and weigh in that on my first Roscoe, I'm really enjoying the Aguilar DCB/OBP-3 combo in my new to me RMLE. Bass has big cojones. I was lucky enough to talk Armybass out it a few weeks ago. Finally sweat on it a few times including a little club gig last night, so I can say we've officially bonded. I see myself selling off few because I can't imagine putting this down.

In my roscoe now I have oem Bart with p/sc/s switch, the new Bart agdb buffer and the Demeter! Pretty sweet!

I have to agree, to me nothing beats a Roscoe with a Demeter and Roscoe/Barts. I do prefer an Alder body. I had an LG I can kick my self for letting go which had the mentioned setup.

Joe, I am trying to talk Adam out of your old solid maple LG, but he hasn't relented.

That's a nice one Clint. It has a crazy one piece spalted maple body. How is ole Adam? I miss him. I haven't talked to the original "Roscoe Poacher" in quite a while.

I just hardwired my Roscoe Barts in the 'outer coil' single coil configuration...the tone in my head has arrived! This is fantastic. Might consider the p/sc/s switches down the road, but it sounds so good in this configuration, I may never want to use the switches!
