So would the "African" be khaya?Yeah, I do.
....typically Honduran, but we do have some African as well and have had good luck with both sonically. But, Honduran is what we use if we spec "Mahogany".

A lot of what is often referred to as "mahogany" isn't really mahogany. The wood kind![]()

The thing is, "African mahogany" is sometimes used to describe wood that isn't at all mahogany (quite aside from khaya) - even by some well-respected builders. People think they're getting real mahogany but they end up with a wood that only looks like mahogany. Glad to hear that Honduras is what you generally use.We only use Honduras or African Mahogany. No "substitutes".![]()

I got that - but at the same time I doubt most people give it a second thought when they see "mahogany" on a spec sheet. I certainly didn't until recently. It was a joke. See the smiley face?
So much so, that you have "wood"?

BTDT. 9/64" I got mine in a set at Lowes and it was not expensive - works fine.I have a SKB fretless 6 string and need to adjust the truss rod. What's the correct size allen wrench? I can't seem to get my current wrench set to fit correctly. Thanks

DON'T FORCE the key into the nut, if it doesn't easily slip in, you could damage the nut.
