In an interesting turn of events, a Century Signature 6 is going to be heading my way very soon.

Guys, Wanted to put the word out - looks like I'm going to be back in the "2 Roscoe Family". I've had a Roscoe fretless for 12 years, but looks like a companion is on the way.
BUT HEY- I'm looking for a set of Nordstrand Dual Coils that would fit in the Roscoe 5 slot. Also looking for an Aguilar OBP-3 preamp. If you have either of these, PM me!!
Thanks
And I'm remaining in the "4 Roscoe Family". None of them will be getting sold, and I'll just leave it at that. Things worked out differently than I thought they were going to.
To say that this makes me happy would be a huge understatement.![]()

Awesome to hear Ryan!
I'm s glad that everything worked out so you could keep the Roscoe's!![]()
Enjoying both my new Roscoe basses. The fretless is amazing, unplugged it just sings! Plugged in, oh boy! Still learning the Bartolini setup, so far I likey!
The fretted I got a few days ago is a whole other animal. It sports the Aguilar OPB-1 preamp and Aguilar pickups. The controls are very much like Sadowsky basses, boast only with the passive tone control. Used it tonight and the sound man said that was the best sounding bass he had heard in a long time. He could hear every note (which could be a bad thing!), the highs were crisp and clear and the low end full and tight sounding. And I love the weight of both of them! I think my Warwick weighs more then both of them put together!

Thanks Joe!
Well, one ended up leaving today, but another one is immediately coming to replace it. I let my JM go after all, but am buying Gard's fretted Century Signature VI to replace it.

Rainbow strings so you can play all that colorful music.![]()
. It's getting DR Black Beauties put on it before it ships. You definitely need a Roscoe 6 in your collection Ryan. Kind of like you, I played 6'ers exclusively for 3 years and went back to 5's because I rarely used the high C except for recording and playing around at home.
Playing a 6 just gives you a different approach and attitude to your playing.
Gorgeous bass! You're not having Guitar Center do the work?!!My new (to me) fretless 5 string Signature landed at my house yesterday. I plan to do a 6 string conversion today when Guitar Center opens.
I may do this one myself.Gorgeous bass! You're not having Guitar Center do the work?!!
Just do it yourself. What are you going to string it with? You should try the Dunlop Super Brights (they're not really bright) but sound great.I may do this one myself.![]()
You definitely need a Roscoe 6 in your collection Ryan. Kind of like you, I played 6'ers exclusively for 3 years and went back to 5's because I rarely used the high C except for recording and playing around at home. In the end though I really missed having a 6 to play. Playing a 6 just gives you a different approach and attitude to your playing. Plus IMO the extra mass to the neck of a 6 really seems to phatten up the tone.
..... and of course there isn't a better playing 6 string out there than a Roscoe (especially the way Gard had his necks shaped; thinner finger board to back of neck).
I thought the same thing----"what the hell are you thinking!?".Oh... I just looked at the pics.... I thought you were seriously going to add a string.... LOL... beautiful bass man. Told you they were addictive.
