Alright Roscoe heads, what would be the better bass for my 2nd Roscoe? One is Aguilar pickup and pre and the other is Nordstrand pickup and pre.

From all Roscoe's I've played I prefer the Bart/Bart combo.

Me too. I've gone full circle with that. Still love the Demeter pre with the Roscoe Barts though. I guess I really need 2 Roscoe's.
But the good thing is, it's easy to swap out the p/u's and pre. Heck, I typically do that every couple of years anyway just to change things up.:)

Shane I'd go with the one that speaks to you the loudest. You can fine tune the sound by swapping out p/u's and/or pre later.
What's the body wood on the Black burst Roscoe? I'm not as much an ash man these days. Mahogany just kills to my ears these days! Spanish Cedar can sound nice too (depending on the weight; IMO SC seems to sound better when it has a bit more substance to it).

Bart/Bart for me, too.
And it’s more the “hang” than the scale. A 35” SKB hangs differently for me than my 35” Century. I feel like I have to reach for the first fret on an SKB. I think Warwick’s felt that way to me as well.

First 2 live gigs with my Roscoe Century PJ and I absolutely loved it. The best tone I’ve ever had in any bass and it is so smooth and cuts through the mix effortlessly. Had several comment on it after the services.

Really glad you are loving it, after all of us here pushing you off the fence. I love the cocobolo top. My last Roscoe build they didn't have any cocobolo so I went with koa. Welcome to the family and enjoy!

That top is awesome! Mine is a Plain Jane in comparison (although a gloss finish would bring out the figuring).

I just put some new strings on my SKB (Spector stainless steel). The thing just came alive, it sounds like a beast!
