No, No, No! That's 3 NOs just in case I didn't make that clear.![]()
He likes, but he can not have!!
That's a Signature Wedge Neck. Those are indeed very stiff necks.
So, is that a good thing, a not so good thing, or a very good thing?

That looks a lot like my Century Signature 5 neck. Would that make that LG a signature? Here's my Century sig:View attachment 2925881 View attachment 2925882
At any rate, the white epoxy are really an improvement IMO. So much more a part of the finger board. I would think that the epoxy is much more similar in make up to the diamondwood material and you don't have to worry about the string witness point laying on the aluminum surface when playing.
I've a had a couple evenings now to really check out the new Roscoe fretless and I've got to say that I'm really digging the sound of this bass. It's amazing how different the various Roscoe fretless basses that I've owned have sounded. Probably a bit subtle differences to the casual observer but when you record them and do really detail comparisons you can really hear how different wood combinations change the voicing of the instrument. You can adjust the tone some with the choice of preamp (and EQ settings), pickups (and location) and strings but the basic tonal voice seems so much determined by the woods.

I know the pic's that I previous posted are pretty bad so here's a few better pic's (still taken with my Iphone but at least with better lighting).

Take a look at this Roscoe and the neck. That's a 7-layer neck!!
Absolutely meaningless knowledge but ........
Did you know that a Roscoe 5 string with 19mm string spacing has a wider head stock at the top than a Roscoe with 18.3mm string spacing?
I know what you're thinking "well the neck at the nut is wider for the 19mm string spacing" which is true but the nut width on the 19mm spacing bass is 1 17/16" and the 18.3mm spacing bass is1 13/16". I guess that I just never thought about it changing the size of the head stock until I saw them side by side.
It creates an illusion of a much more petite head stock on the normal 18.3mm head stock.
I wonder if the size of the head stock affects the sound/tone of a bass?
So, there you go. Now you know.
