Roscoe Club

Is @JOME77 too busy playing his new 5JB that he can't give us an update?

LOL
Yeah, I guess that I was. The new finger board with white epoxy lines turned out great! The finger board is glassy smooth with no indication (feeling it with your fingers) of fret lines anywhere. And it makes a huge difference in the mwah and tone. The former finger board had good and bad area's all over the finger board. Mwah and growl would sound really good in one spot and terrible in another (due to the aluminum lines sticking up above the finger board). This one sounds consistent all over the finger board and the action is literally laying on the finger board. It wasn't cheap but in the end I'm very pleased!

Here's a few pics:

Here's a clip of a Roscoe with JJs in it. Forgive the playing.

It arrived. Only disappointed with dead strings and noticed big drop off in B string volume. sounded overall like a passive Jazz with 30 year old dead strings. Going to have a set up and new strings put on before my impression is made. The look and feel are exceptional. 7.9 lbs!!!!!! It’s nearly 3 lbs lighter than my Modulus Quantum. I think it’s solud swamp ash as the rings line up at mid point. Crazy I’ve never seen anything like it

It does look like a solid piece of ash. Really nice!
