Another one of Jome77’s former basses. And it’s a great one.
I think the Roscoes that have past through JOME77's hands are some of the "best of the best".
I've let a few slip through the my hands that I should have hung on to.

Haven’t we all...I wish I had either of my fretless basses back.I've let a few slip through the my hands that I should have hung on to.
I really should practice this more often to keep the wife’s sanity in check.Okay if Roscoeans have this pain from loss then perhaps we should just pretend to sell and pretend to buy.

And I thought that I was the only one with that problem ......
Hey, she's got her designer pocket books and shoes and I've got my basses!![]()
Acquiring my first fretless & 2nd Roscoe this week- a lg 3005.. (courtesy of Danny R on talkbass- thanks!) I have a question for you fretless Rosconians, Ive never messed with effects, i always go direct & love a clean tone. Was contemplating maybe a nice chorus pedal or something for the fretless. Price isnt a problem.. Any suggestions?Get really comfortable with the fretless before tinkering with effects. Anything that can mask your intonation can persuade you you're playing better than you are...Any suggestions?
Good advice.. i do need to see how my intonation isGet really comfortable with the fretless before tinkering with effects. Anything that can mask your intonation can persuade you you're playing better than you are...
In one respect, a fretless is just a bass, so it will respond to effects like any other. But you may decide you like the sound just like it is. I almost always play with just a little DarkGlass VMT tubey drive, but that's mostly because I keep amp settings pretty clean. Lots of fretless guys like a bit of chorus, so that's a decent place to start. I have an AnalogMan chorus but I rarely use it; it's fun but it doesn't fit what I'm playing most of the time.

Yeah, I tried that argument one time. Take my advice and keep it to yourself because it leads to all kinds of other topics (tools, motorcycles, guns, antique trucks, etc.). Go figure.............
Oh, and pay close attention. Make sure she actually did say "stand-up" before you get out of your chair (trust me on this one) !

One things for sure, fretless is better with a Roscoe (or Zon)!![]()
The Julia Chorus/Vibrato by Walrus Audio works really well with my LG fretless. It's a favorite after trying so many before - low end is tight, transparent enough to know it's your bass & the modulation is useful throughout the range. My blend knob has developed an issue. It’s not rubbing against the top but it feels like it when I turn it.
Suggestions? Some deox or something sprayed in here?
