Well, I was able to talk to the builder of the bass I was having intonation issues and he basically said move the bridge back about 1/4'', and also that string through at the current bridge location would not correct the intonation.
So, I moved it back and will set the intonation later this evening. If this corrects the intonation, then I'll just order a few of those screws that secures the saddle housing from Hipshot and just live with having to remove that screw every time I re-string the B & E and call it a day!

Actually, after moving the bridge back, the intonation is spot on and, and this is the big plus, I won't have to remove the saddle anchor screw to remove and install new strings!!! YEAH!!! :hyper:

Rig update!!!

Check out my newest toy to play through on the Tuesday night jams in my upstairs music room!
I did some wheeling and dealing with JohnnyR for the GBE 750 and Berg HT322.:)
Can you say "Rock and Roll"? :bassist::bassist::bassist:

The Mesa D800+/Berg HD112 is the "on the road" gigging rig and the GBE 750/Berg HT322 is the "stay at home" gigging rig!

I had figured something was not quite right with this bass when I saw it for sale. I didn't know anything about this bridge and thought since it was a Hipshot, it's cool. My guess now is that it was this bridge type that kept others away.
Setting the intonation is very tricky and more time consuming than with the other Hipshot Style A/B's, but after spending as much time as I have with it today, I think I have the hang of it for going forward.

I have had various Shuttles and a the Streamliner but never had a chance to check out the GBE series - I’m sure it sounds great with the Berg

I’ve heard that the GBE 1200 was a beast! ( in a good way)

Congrats on two killer rigs

Here's my new at-home practice rig. :D
6-watt, 2x3 stack! My fretless Roscoe sounds great through the Overdrive channel.

Dave,
Those cab's look really big until you realize what they're sitting on. At first I though it was a small stage but then I realized it was the top of a speaker cabinet! :D

Love it!

Yeah. Johnny tried to get me to take the GBE 1200 (he still has one of those and another HT322) but that amp weighs another 9 lbs (42 lbs) and if I ever wanted to play it through my Berg HD112 it would have had too much potential to blow it up!:eek::eek::poop::poop::poop:

I typically play my Mesa D800+ through the HD112 (and it sounds really good) but the GBE 750 totally kills though it.
The 750 through the HT322, well let's just say it took the doctor 1 hour to pop my jaw back into place (the first time I played through the rig). :bassist::bassist::bassist:

I have not Ray. Maybe you can bring one to the GTG in April.

Actually I played through a Genzler 350 head and a 2-10 cab at Jim's a few months before he closed. Good sounding amp (very similar to the GB class D heads that I owned).
I haven't heard the Genzler 800 though. So still, bring one to the GTG.:)
