Roscoe Club

Beautiful basses! I especially like the Koa (?) LG. Just killer!

That's right! High Gloss Koa top LG with BE Maple fretboard. This is the bass with the Demeter preamp and Bart pups. Killer bass!
I split the gig tonight and played both basses.
Of course, the Buckeye Burl is a monster, too.

I think both basses are the best bass I've ever played!!

I'm trying to get up enough courage to order another Demeter. After what you went through, and the fact that all of my spare Demeter pre pots are now gone, I'm just not sure if I want to roll the dice. The last one that I order came as yours did with panel mounting pots (threaded shaft not long enough to extend through holes in the Roscoe top).
I'm thinking maybe Pope Flex core or East Uni-pre. The passive tone control along with the active/passive mode make them very desirable.:)

I've got an Active/Passive volume knob on mine, and I use an LPF pedal to get close to what a passive tone control pot can do. It works really well for me.

.

If, for some unknown reason, I ordered another Demeter preamp it would be the generic OTC variety.
I always wanted a Pope!
It got my first Pope Flex in a used bass I bought recently and I really, really like the controls, tone spectrum and the flexibility of the pre. It’s almost like a plug n’ play module design. As a matter of fact, the Pope Flex was what I was considering for the Bart replacement when I went with Demeter.
The universe has a way of putting things in order!

Bass companies (or any company, really) don't endorse players. Players endorse companies.
Yep, it's pretty rare for a company to endorse an artist in terms of supplying them gear, publicity, and substantial monetary support. Was interested to ask detailed questions earlier, actually in hopes of learning of the occurrence of this rare arrangement for one of our members, following their "pronouncement."

Anyways, I endorse my local grocery store in the signing of my check to them several times a week. . I guess they endorse me when the discount coupon prints out after my sales receipt.

View attachment 3496165 Anyway, since it’s the first gig of the month and I received such a warm welcome back to this Roscoe thread, I’m making it a Roscoe night (with my Genzler rig, of course).
“Make it a Roscoe night!” Heh heh, sounds like a TV commercial.

Great looking basses!
