Roscoe Club

Beautiful. Also, I will say, as long as you play the songs and are rock solid on the form, you will be great! I bet you are worrying about gear too much. Just dont show up with a 7-string fanned fret and a Phil Jones briefcase amp and you'll be fine.
I am leaving the 7 home (fretted Roscoe SKB) and Phil Jones is out of my price range, so I'm good ;-)
Actually, the band rehearses with headphones (and e-drums) so I'm not much worried about gear at all...

That is great! Your Roscoe will excel at headphones/in-ears, in my opinion!
Since most of my playing is fretless, and if I can't hear myself it's a really long night, I invested in a quality in-ears setup early on.
Most of my at-home practice is headphones so I'm comfortable with that environment. In-Ears are Westone UM-Pro30's, headphones are either Grado or Sony depending.

Bass and playing sounded great.

Thank you! I like that song a lot, and playing it is always fun.

Nice job. We do this tune quite a bit lately. I use my Roscoe as well.

This is a great tune, and I'm hearing it on the radio still (on days where I listen to old-fashioned FM in the car). I bet you and your Roscoe sound great on this song as well.

Love the driving rhythm of that version!

Thank you! The core 4 of us in the group have been playing together for 15+ years now in praise, original rock, cover bands, singer/songwriter, and other situations. Having a good drummer that locks in the musicality with you is so rewarding and fun - every bassist deserves a long-time good drummer! I've had like 3 in the last 20 years that I've played with for 3+ years (Ted in this video being the longest relationship), so I consider myself very fortunate.

@SteveC You're a bad (good!) influence :)

If one of you amazing folks sold this to the The Bass Place up in Seattle, thank you! It'll be at my doorstep next week!

This beauty just arrived today and it's a perfect 10/10. It might as well be new old stock from 2008 it's so incredibly clean.

It has been a while since I had even played a Roscoe, and unfortunately the last time I did that particular bass (also an LG3005) was not in the best of condition. However, a couple things stood out- 1. The B string was mighty impressive for something with a wood neck and dead strings. I say that because I am totally spoiled by the B string on the carbon fiber necks of my G. Gould and Modulus basses. I have to remind myself on occasion when I'm demoing basses at a shop just why it is that I favor CF necks. So it's really saying something when I can make a positive comparison of wood to carbon fiber. 2. There was a really nice array of tones that I could dial in fairly quickly without it being harsh. The angled position of pickups and their smaller size I think really make a solid difference in the overall sound.

Thankfully, this bass meets all of the same positive things that I remember and then some. I went back and forth comparing the B string against the one on my G. Gould GGi5. The GGi5 sounds like a piano and is super tight. The Roscoe is tight with a well defined tone and a warmer sound. The strings need to be replaced on it and then I think I will hear and feel quite a difference. However, I have no problem agreeing with you all that they have one of the best B's in the business.
