And while I'm rarely the type to say 'told you so' let me just quote from Post #557:

Well, maybe not a complete stop, but I am going to try and limit my time and visit the Recording, Technique and General Instruction forums more than the For Sale. Still have to check on all things Roscoe.

The rep from our local store played some Roscoe guitars at NAMM and LOVED them. He's a PRS guy but would love a Roscoe. I'll keep working on him.

the only reason i could think of not to want that is it's "too nice", if that's even a thing.
it's beautiful. and if it plays like the basses it's head and shoulders over anything else.

OK.... so I have two SKB 6's (fretted and fretless) but I would still like a 5 string geared for pop/rock/country... real Swiss Army Bass. I am thinking it would for sure be an ash body and I really like burl tops but that is not a necessity. But my question is ... LG or Century. I like the body style of both but I am really drawn to the LG. Is there a reason to go with one or the other? Are there limitations as far as tops on the LG (ie body size and contours)? Any info or suggestions would be appreciated. Oh...... also I am really thinking I want a JJ too.
Supposedly, the Century balances better b/c of the longer upper horn. But, I really like my LG. I like the smaller body which, to me, means lesser weight. Plus I think it looks cool.
Having owned an SKB, two LG's and now a Century I easily prefer the Century body style. It balances much better for me. And the Century body really isn't that big.
There's the best reason. Plus the lg just looks amazing... so good they put it on the t-shirts.
I've owned all three. I loved my LG but, I thought that it was a little small for me. The Century and SKB fit me better and I really can't tell a huge difference between them when they are strapped on. That being said I am having a travel sized LG being built right now.
Also, there are no build limitations for the LG. Since it is smaller than the others it can use just about any top. If any of them have a limitation it is the Century just because it is bigger. There are some tops that I like but are just too small for it.
As far as a Swiss Army bass I'd go with. Bart JM. You get a Musicman sound plus the MM can be split for a good J sound. That is what my LG was and I am in the planning stages for another.
