Having owned an SKB, two LG's and now a Century I easily prefer the Century body style. It balances much better for me. And the Century body really isn't that big.

IMO - the LG's are one of my favorite body shapes of ALL brands. But the Century does balance more like "traditional" basses.

(I own a short scale LG. No balance issues.)

Yeah, that was a great time for me in many ways and well worth the cost. The private lesson with Jimmy, meeting everyone, the hang, was all amazing.

Only way to avoid that is to custom order, I think. And even then it's a crapshoot.
