Thanks Jim! And FedEx just returned my baby home. The only Roscoe Custome I ever bought new. So glad to have my SKB 3005 JJ back and in just as good of condition as she was when you got her 6 years ago. Thanks again my friend!

Whats the difference of the CB Barts vs the Quad coil Barts for those that have played both? Are they more open tonally and less warm?

CB's are more open (and clear). Roscoe Bart Quad coils are more compressed (and darker).

That being said, While the Bart CB's open the overall sound when used with the Bart preamp, a more open sounding preamp (Nordstrand, Demeter, East, Pope....) cans really help open the sound of the Roscoe Bart quad coil p/u's (just approaching it from the opposite perspective). At least IMO.:)

I have done some bass lines for a friend. It's fun. I'd like to do more...and maybe get paid. The nice thing is all you need is a decent computer, a decent interface, some software, a good internet connection and you're set. I'm using a Mac, Focusrite Solo, GarageBand and some headphones. It really only cost me the Focusrite as I had the rest.

Ok the final new family member arrived tonight and it is also a Roscoe with a hell of a pedigree among TB forumites. I feel very fortunate to have this bass. Some of you who've been around will recognize it I'm sure. :)

Man, that satin finish looks great. 3 Roscoes in a week - I'd call that solid. Congrats on the homecoming and great choices on the other 2.

Have fun recording! I've recently been trying to expand my recording horizons too, especially in light of the last year.
