My first Roscoe order was a Century Standard 6 Plus. Mine was a swamp ash body, quilt maple top (so worth the extra money) and a beautiful Wenge board. Bart jazz pups and Bart preamp. It was an amazing bass. I bought it back 3 TIMES but I just am not a 6 string guy. Add the top. My 2nd was the Century Standard 5 Plus with a swamp ash body, Koa top and maple board.

All that sounds great. I would go with Roscoe Bart soaps, though. They work so well with fretless, and they are available as an option on the Standards. And since we're talking about options, I'd also go with standard Bart pre, adding the 5th control for passive tone. Yum yum

yes Steve I'm pretty sure your bass was the one that started my obsession with this configuration. :)

I do like the soaps on my fretless - in the "JB" position as well, and coil taps for each pup.

I really like the big, full sound out of the bart 2 band pre, but that mid eq is the one I manipulate the most with my fretless.

Kind of wish I had the passive tone control on my PJ. But not enough to start making changes.
