Roscoe Club

I think a lot of people would not be sympathetic to your argument that a p bass doesn’t work on all gigs. ;)

But all us TB’ers would be sympathetic about the need for more instruments :D
Maybe I should say P bass with flats? Songs like Uptown Funk, Kickstart My Heart, Pour Some Sugar...that’s why I use my 5 for the cover band. It can do anything. But I am liking the P more and more.

Wow!
This looks like a whale of a deal for someone wanting a Classic PJ.
For Sale - Roscoe Classic PJ5 / Lake Placid Blue
Was just about to post that... dang, that’s tempting...

Nice deal on a Classic looking bass!
And we were just talking about the likes and dislikes of 19mm 5 strings.
On this one for me it’s a deal breaker. Now if it had one of those water fall bubinga tops. .... it would probably push me over the edge! :D

There's another PJ, not Classic though in an 18.3mm!

For Sale - Roscoe Century Plus - PJ

I wouldn't get a Classic 5 string. I'm sure they are great, but I just can't get past the 4/1 headstock. I'd have a Century (LG/SKB whatever you like) with jazz pups (not a P/J guy) for my 5 string jazz bass. 4 string I'd do a Classic jazz like my Classic P.

Or, do the John Mayer "Silver Sky" thing - have a classic body with a modern neck/headstock. Someone should Photoshop that. Classic jazz (or P I guess) body with a standard Roscoe 5 string neck/headstock.

Those Silver Sky "strats" are AMAZING guitars.

Oh yeah, that 4 & 1 headstock is a deal breaker for sure!:banghead:

Really Steve? That’s probably my favorite part of that bass. Oh well, different strokes for different folks.:)

Missing out on a Roscoe like this is what helped me decide to pull the trigger on my custom LG.

I tried to buy it last night but he never answered any of my questions. I even asked some after it sold because I wanted some general information about these basses from a player’s standpoint but got nothing. So I don’t trust that seller and I don’t think either of us missed out. It was almost like he’s trying to hide something about that bass.

Sorry he did not provide you a response, but you have to be careful in accusing someone or implying they are not trustworthy. Perhaps he was just busy

I had a good experience with him and he actually sent me a video before sending a bass to me... he also has 100% feedback

He still has not responded to me. I know he doesn’t have to. But you know....

I know. It’s just a thing for me. My G&L was 3/2. My Modului were 3/2. My Laklands were 3/2. Obviously my Roscoe 5’s are 3/2. I also think it’s the nicest headstock in the business.
