I know. It’s just a thing for me. My G&L was 3/2. My Modului were 3/2. My Laklands were 3/2. Obviously my Roscoe 5’s are 3/2. I also think it’s the nicest headstock in the business.

I think that I like it so much because it reminds me of the original Musicman 4 string Stingray (3 & 1). I’ve always loved that head stock.

How about a bit to many neck screws?

That one would be a prime candidate for too many neck screws/bolts and weird upper horns.

That does look a bit excessive. While I’ve never owned either, I don’t mind the look of the six bolt G&Ls or the mitered six bolt Yamahas. Better that than those screwy three screw versions Fender and G&L used to use.

The headstock and super high gloss finish that shows every fingerprint was my biggest gripes with Devon basses. It's funny how little things that really don't matter to many can be a negative for us. I do love the Roscoe Headstocks though.

The beauty of being seasoned, experienced (old?) musicians is that we have earned the knowledge (and right) to know EXACTLY what we like and want in an instrument; so I get it Steve. No detail is too small or insignificant for me either. And no, I won't compromise! In fact, I had to design and have my own bass made/assembled.

Recently this Bach cello stuff I'm diving into is making me think about 6ers. This is a level of GAS that I haven't felt in a long while.

What I need is a new lawn tractor, but what I want is to tell myself that it's only a few hours with a push mower each week, and to call Keith to see what he can set me up with.

Another plus is look at the exercise you’ll get with that push mower. Plus you get a new bass lol. That’s a win win situation brother.
