Roscoe Club

Well I got the infamous 2-3 weeks left signal from Keith on my Waterfall Bubinga Build lol. Wood just arrived from Roscoe shop to D-Cline Designs to start working on the knobs. Maybe they will finish around the same time. Keith did say this was going to be a really nice bass.

Well this one finally made it to church today (Not my picture)

But first it spent a few days at Joe’s (JoeBassPlayer) to really get the setup right and the preamp output adjusted.
So how did it do you ask? Well it sounds fantastic in the mix and with a little eq adjustment (not volume mind you) it cuts through like a razor!
The Nordy 3B band is extremely flexible especially with the series/parallel switch. It can be very aggressive with being as in your face as my bass with similar pickups and the Sadowsky 2B.
Joe got this bass set up LOWWW and incredibly even up and down the board.
This thing has a lot of tone options I haven’t gotten to yet. Gonna be fun sorting them out.
Thanks Jim (JLY) for a trade that seems to have worked out great for both of us.

She played and sounded wonderful this morning .... and the Buckeyes butl is growing on me .

I’d say that was a win-win trade.
Both great looking and sounding basses!

It’s great that two Roscoe’s possibly found there “ forever” home ( As “ forever” that GAS will allow ).

Luckily Joe set up the SKB before it came here!

I am very happy that it worked out so well

Those strings look like a set of Silver Stars.

What strings do you use on your fretless?

I think I have D'Addario Nickels on both Roscoe fretlesses (OEM Roscoe gauges), but the 5er might have Dunlop Nickels. I have a Google Sheet I use to track string changes, but I sometimes change and forget to update.
