Yeah Steve, I really hate that I'm not going to meet you & all the other Roscoeheads that are going to be in attendance. Just bad timing starting a new job and having limited vacation time and all.

I'm really looking forward to seeing all of the pictures and hearing all of the stories though!:)

We do this tune at church - a pretty good version if I dare say so - and it's pretty inspiring. We do a lot of Chris Tomlin and people really like them.

Yeah. Pete I was really looking forward to meeting you. It definitely made the decision not to go more difficult knowing that you, Ryan, Jon and Steve were going to be there (along with Jerry and Greg (who I got the pleasure of meeting last year). Of course I've also never meet the MAN (Keith) in person yet!

.....and yeah, it's ALWAYS a pleasure getting to see Gard!:)

Oh well, Roscoe factory in the fall and maybe the next GTG. Who knows though, my wife and I have always wanted to take a lighthouse tour and maybe we could schedule it when you guys have a GTG. Then I could see and touch all of those nice basses that I see in the pictures!:)

I need to figure bout how to use Garage Band and what interface I need. None of that can happen until Apple gets their stuff together and announce the new iMacs and PowerBooks already. Hopefully this week.

Wow Joe, I was looking forward to finally meeting you in person, but you have made the right decision. I will be in Atlanta August 2013 for work, we will have to plan a tour of some music shops.

Not to be rude, but can you send your basses to Roscoe for the weekend as I don't think you will be needing them to make music at the beach? Wink wink nudge nudge :D :hiding:

I use a simple presonus firebox and firewire and does a solid job..no issues whatsoever. Make sure you use the proper cable. Garageband is ok but think you'd be better served to just take the plunge on Logic..} have last years imac

Yeah, it's a bummer Clint but I am looking forward to laying back at the beach.
Maybe when I come in the Fall you can trek over to the shop and we can meet and grab some lunch.

While I won't be using the Roscoe's at the beach they will be resting safely at home! :D I hope! :ninja:

I guess I was going to use GB as it is "free" and seems to be ok for some basic "bass choir" type stuff. A couple bass lines and maybe some rhythm.

I was hoping to do it on a new iMac, but Apple isn't releasing anything new on the desktop end. Lots of MacBook and OS stuff but no desktop updates.

I'm going to wait until the Mountain Lion OS is released in July - there is almost always a new desktop to go along with the new OS. If there isn't a new iMac at that time, I may rethink and go MacBook - even though it's expensive and not as much HD space.

I just picked up a TPB Limited Edition #004 Roscoe LG-3005 a few days ago and recored this little cover that night [written by former NBA star and bass stud wayman tisdale]. I used garageband [drum kit, congas and triangle] and the rest [bass line, backing chords, melodies and solo] are the Roscoe.

man do i love this bass!!!

its got a sweet one piece maple body. i was sort of getting bored with the exotic tops [no offense roscoe owners] and Ive wanted an LG for many years now and then when i saw this blue. bam pow had to have it.

Here's a slightly revamped version with a different tone on the fretless, some bass chords in the first verse (no strings), a ride cymble on the chorus and a little thicker string sound on the last chrous.

I think that I could tweak things on my recordings forever and still never be totally satisfied. :rollno:

hey thanks man. my back is lovin it too. its super light.

i was just saying the same thing to my buddy whos an actual producer. i'm just recording on my own for the first time and said to him a couple days ago "man this is a curse, theres something i want to change every single time i listen to it"

lovin the fretless work. might be a while until im ready to attack that monster..

Congrats Keef! Great looking bass. Are you sure the body isn't Swamp Ash? The grain looks like ash and the lightweight factor would favor ash over maple. I had a Roscoe Century Standard 5 fretted and still have a Roscoe 5 string fretless, both one piece of Swamp Ash.

Gotta love the weight and playability of these instruments. Nice music too.
