Ah, screw it. Cliff has a new body in the works. Long story, don't really want to go there...

Never the less, Cliff's bass v2.0 will rock even harder in the end. And I've provided Cliff with a Century Standard 6 to use in the meantime. Sooooo sorry for the delay, Cliff!

Needless to say, Cliff gets my "Most Patient Customer Of The Year Award". I know it's only January, and I'm a fool to make that call already... but he's been way too cool.

Gaaa-aard, Gaaaa-aard? Yeah 'nuff said, I just felt guilty with all the comments n' such. But I'm still stoked for my v2.0 as Greg put it.

I do definitely need to say that Greg gets "Most kick ass super bitchin' Dealer Dude of the year" award, how 'bout a dealer mailing you a BRAND NEW Roscoe to play while your order is being built, pretty killer. I can't say enough about Greg and his customer service and honest advice, needless to say he's got and will get ALL of my Roscoe business.

Now where is that "WHO DAT (property of NFL)" duder anyway?!?!

You're too kind, Cliff. Really, really - thanks for dealing with this so well.

I'll just say that it's easy to provide good Customer Service when everything goes right. When the seas are smooth, I basically have to answer emails promptly and send you a tracking number to be considered a Norse God of Customer Service. :rolleyes: Much as I might wish situations like this didn't happen, there are human beings involved all the way from you deciding you want a new bass right up to the point that your potentially bungling UPS guy delivers a potentially dented bass to your door. We humans screw up, it's just a sad fact. But when the poop hits the fan, that's when you really get to find out how good a guy/company is at Customer Service.

And let's not forget Roscoe in all of this. They're absolutely top notch before, during and after the sale... every sale! Little guys like Roscoe and me live and die by our reputations, and I hope it's safe to say that you're seeing that first hand. Once again... sorry 'bout that :D

Miscommunication time:

Somewhere in the process of gluing up the body for Cliff, a pertinent piece of information was not transferred, and the wenge shim he requested did not make it in.

There was a lot of discussion during the workup to glue time, and we discussed it amongst the guys and myself, but it just didn't happen.

It's my responsibility to make sure it does, so mea culpa.

We're hunting down the NEXT killer piece of koa to use for v 1.1, and I know we'll at least match, if not beat what we had for v 1.0.

I'm feeling pretty badly about this, but the good news for Cliff is that it won't really delay his build (his neck has not started yet, but will next week), and the body is a fairly quick build in comparison to the neck once we start it.

Yeah, Greg is good peeps, no question. Glad to have him as our rep in western VA, and even happier that I can truly refer to him as "friend".

Good dude, no, BEST type of dude.

On the loaner, that was definitely above and beyond, especially though the setback in production is not really changing the delivery time.

Oh, and thanks for the support in the sig file! ;)

That's still going to be a beautiful bass even without the wenge shim. I like maple with the KOA (hint hint for a neck reccommendation:))

Look at it this way, now two people are going to get outstanding instruments.

If the bass without the shim is so hideous that no one wants it:smug:, send it to Georgia;). I've got an affinity for "imperfect" things.

WORD. I couldn't be any more excited still for my bass, Roscoes are THE best bass for me and MY music, period. Oh and wow, the century standard plus models are off the charts amazing, the CB's and Bart pre are just killer, and oh so versatile. I LOVE leaving my amp's controls at noon ALL the time! Oh and the neck, hasn't budged.
