Well, that may be a bit too strict.

Maybe 20 posts for non-supporting and unlimited for supporting.
:)


Maybe a limit on thread creating:
Each member is only allowed to post 1 or 2 or 3 threads a day.
Keeps the thread spamming down.
Different limits for supporting or non supporting members?

I don't like this idea. It would seriously dilute the dumb I find so amusing.

I do think that people who feel it necessary to post "X sucks" comments in "Check out this awesome X" threads should be slapped with a fish.

No more "girl / guy issues" threads.

No more SX megathreads.

Madatory search before posting of redundant threads

No more "counrty of origin" bashing threads

No more "why do you need more than 4 strings" threads

No more vagues thread titles or badly executed innuendo laced titles.

No more "hey, does this neck fit my squier?" threads in Luthier Forum. I mean really. pick up a damn ruler and check for yourself. Not to mention it's not a luthier issue.

I agree with these. I'd also like to see more answers to the redundant question in addition to suggesting the search function. Then there will be one more thread for someone to find the answer in when the search.

There should be a thread for stupid questions that you are too embarrassed about not knowing. There are a few I've had pop up and I couldn't find anything while searching.

People would not allowed to get so upset over such stupid crap. If I think a bass is ugly, than I think it's ugly. If I want to post something, I may or not do a search and read every last word that everyone said on the subject first. Too many cry babies over nothing. And when I do look back at old threads, don't get mad if i revive them.
