RULES YOU'D LIKE TO SEE ON TB

More of an option really, something to minimize some of the redundancy. A "close/delete" option on all threads similar to polls where after a certain number of people vote for it's close or deletion a note gets sent to the appropriate mod who then closes or deletes it if they deem appropriate. The only problem would be the emergence of countless "what happened to my thread?" threads.
a rule against posting the same fail picture, you wanna fail something, be creative, or you fail at failing.
I'd like to see a rule that requires proof of endorsing artist status or a working relationship with a manufacturer in the disclosure statement.
This would probably be too time consuming and difficult to enforce, but I'm not convinced that all claims of these relationships are legitimate.

Unregistered/not-logged-in viewers or logged-in minors see a "---censured---" line.
Of those logged in, only those older than 21 can see the content.
Not really useful and might do more harm than anything else, but I was thinking about it the other day, so I mention it. I wouldn't implement it.

In all honesty I think the rules here are fine. I think the old timers whine too much about recurring threads. It's a large internet forum with a pretty big turn around, not everyone has been here for years and seen it all. There's always new opinions and views from new members or even old who might have something different to say.
If recurring threads REALLY bother you that much, maybe you should spend less time on TB after all these years, or make the place more interesting yourself. Or better yet, just don't open those threads only to whine about them.
If someone starts a pretty common thread, and is told to use the search button, a lot of those threads in the search are full of the same posts telling you to search for another older thread and don't have much info in them.

I would like to see a manadatory "Image Post Quota". 10% of all posts must be accompanied by a relevant, amusing image (or .gif). It would certainly liven things up a little.
I was under the impression it was more for inappropriate content and/or spam that usually gets someone banned.
I'm sure i've used it once or twice for threads that were going nowhere fast, eh.
Although I abide by the rules the best I can, I would like to see LESS of them. And I think that the only reason there ARE so many rules is that people are weak and get offended too easily. I, for one, LOVE a good discussion with someone who sees things differently than I do. I love to debate (calmly) religion and politics as well. I don't think my way is the only way. And I don't think you are stupid if you dissagree with me. If more people were like this, things could be more wide open around here. But all that being said, I like the forum and do my best to follow the rules. And when I have screwed up a few times, I jump at the chance to make it right once it's been pointed out to me.
