have you ever gone to a board even a fraction of this size that had no rules?
.

My pathetic attempt at an epic Friday OT megathread.
Me first: *Spelling Nazi day* where spelling errors are punishable by a genuine whack on the knuckles from a fat man in nun garb, on randomly-chosen Wednesdays.
Next?
I'd like to see a rule implemented that means non-supporting members you can only post in OT 3 times in a 24 hours period and supporting members say 5 times. That way, people would think more carefully about their posts in OT.
Yes, yes, yes! It gets downright pathetic sometimes. There are at least two long threads in Basses right now where the OP couldn't even choose correctly between "to" and "too" in the thread title. They could be mixed with grammar Nazi days. Maybe even, dare I suggest, punctuation police.![]()

Especially in the Classifieds. That's just obnoxious.infractions for thread titles in all caps![]()
I disagree. While you might be civil and make sure to put things right, some people never do. And these arguments just get far too heated.Although I abide by the rules the best I can, I would like to see LESS of them. And I think that the only reason there ARE so many rules is that people are weak and get offended too easily. I, for one, LOVE a good discussion with someone who sees things differently than I do. I love to debate (calmly) religion and politics as well. I don't think my way is the only way. And I don't think you are stupid if you dissagree with me. If more people were like this, things could be more wide open around here. But all that being said, I like the forum and do my best to follow the rules. And when I have screwed up a few times, I jump at the chance to make it right once it's been pointed out to me.
Especially in the Classifieds. That's just obnoxious.

A biannual "survivor" style supporting members council where the supporting members can relegate one moderator back to the ranks of normal member and elevate a supporting member up to the ranks of moderator. Kinda like a "Premier league" of moderators to ensure they are performing up to scratch!![]()

on a serious note, if you guys have a complaint about anyone in particular, please contact me or any of the other admins and we'll do what we can about it. privacy will be respected (guaranteed) and action will be taken, if there's a valid complaint to be had.
Sorrry. It gets hard to keep straight in my head, too. Like, if it's fake sarcasm, is it even sarcasm at all or does the fact that I'm being sarcastic about being sarcastic make it sarcasm2?Also, no more fake sarcasm from Mike v_s, I WANT REAL
SARCASM from now on.
Very interesting. Your new name in this contest is Mark Probst and yuo should arrive to each segment via helicopter. May I suggest raising the stakes by making any challenge losses result in a week-long ban?A biannual "survivor" style supporting members council where the supporting members can relegate one moderator back to the ranks of normal member and elevate a supporting member up to the ranks of moderator.
