Rumble 800 cover

Just ordered a Fender Rumble 800 (non stage version). I already have the 500 and 200 with covers.
Does the 800 (not the Stage version) have the same exact dimensions as the 500 and 200? So are the covers interchangeable? Thanks!

Same exact dimensions? No!
Will the 200/500 covers fit the 800? Best answered when your 800 arrives.
Or check in with the TB Fender Rumble club.
Your information may be helpful to others.

Hi, scooter, Rumbler #1530! That's a whole heckuva lot of Rumbling power ya got their. How 'bouts a family photo back at the Fender Rumble Club?

Yeah, scoots, I'm sure the covers are interchangeable. Please let us know when you get the 800, OK?

"I could be wrong, now. ... But, I DON'T THINK SO!" [ - Randy Newman, "Monk" TV theme song "A Jungle Out There"] "Ya see, here's the thing." ;) I believe the 23.7" for the height of the Rumble 800 & Stage combos may include the rubber feet, while the 23" for the older 200, 210 & 500 do not, Bandy.

At any rate, that little bit of height will not have any great affect on the overall fit of the cover(s) since the width and depth are all the match. :)

With feet, without feet! :banghead: C'mon F.

Fixed it for ya, Bandy! ;)

Yeah, there was 4 years between the 200, 210, & 500 and the Stage 800. Plenty of time for someone at 7ender to change measuring perspective. But that's not as bad as the original published width of the Bassman 500 head being 22.37" vs the Bassman 800 head being 22.7"! Turns out there was a typo and they are both 22.7"! :rollno:

But, now that I check that, the 7 website now shows the BM800 at 22.37"!

While the manual for both BM500 & BM800 shows both at 22.7".

I recently saw a Rumble 800 combo and Rumble 200 combo side by side in a local music store. The dimensions are indeed identical, but the top handle on the Rumble 800 is slightly more toward the front of the box than the R200, so the whole in the cover of the R200/500 won't line up exactly with the handle on the R800. It should still be usable.

That probably makes sense because the speakers are supposed to be like 5 lbs lighter in the 800.

With speakers being lighter (toward the front) and assuming the internal amp head weighs about the same, I'd expect the handle on the 800 to be toward the back.

Anyway, I don't detect any real difference in these pics,

Yes, I thought the handle should have been moved toward the back as well. The handle on the R800 is not at the center of gravity, so it tilts when you pick it up. Go figure.

You might not see a difference in the pics but the difference is there (I measured it, being a geeky accountant/engineer type). Are you being argumentative again @G-Dog ? :) Still, you should still be able to grab the handle with no issues.

On first thought I agreed with you! Second thought, too. It was at least 3 or 4 thoughts before ... ... ...

Oh, I believe you. But I'll not ask for the figures. Hopefully just a one off. But, it's probably easily moved to a more balanced position.

Again?!? ... no, ... Still. :D But, it's "debatable".

Agree, 100%. That's why I prefer to think you found a one off. "I could be wrong, now. ... "

Yo, Colie! I just happened to find this old similar post about the 200 & 500 handles by @JakobT! Well! I did not remember this, AT ALL! And don't remember hearing of it since. "Things that make you go "Hmmm, ... ... "! :wacky:

I forgot about that post. So, the 800 handle might be placed the same as the 500 handle, being more forward than the 200. I also remember a post in the thread dedicated to the 800 that mentioned the 800 tilting while carrying. A bit confusing for sure.

The "R" in RColie stands for Robert, but you can call me Bob!

You are quite correct, Bob! It took a few searches, but I found where @WorktheWood did, indeed, report an unbalanced 800 in that other thread. Yet, he compared it to a more balanced 500, seemingly the opposite of Jake's 200/500 comparison that I previously linked.

Hmmmph! "'Tis a puzzlement!" More suspense building for scooter's result! :nailbiting:

Aha! Here's @tombowlus's post about the handle holes in 7ender's (now discontinued) Rumble 200/210/500 covers.

They claim that it does fit:

"...the top handle opening is wider to accommodate the slightly varying handle locations (varying center of gravity)."

@scootsmason, do you already have 7ender covers, or other brand?
