Running Three SVT's w/Three 8x10 cabs together

Woo-hoo! Thought that sort of thing went out with the 70s! Brings back memories that does.

I still biamp 40Hz. 18" bag for a fat bottom. Makes the world go 'round.
That rig will get you the stinkeye from the mixing desk... it looks like fun, I'd try it if I had those amps!

I've tried so many things, seems to me straight forward works best.
A few years ago , I hooked up both of my 8 10's to one head. A few hours later , the East Coast Earthquake happened. If the OP figures out how to run all three cabs with all three amps , I fear we are doomed.
Works for me. One head I have has provisions for biamping. Haven’t done that in ages. But ya never know…

Back in the late 70's a bass player in a band in my area called Buck used to use two SVT heads and four SVT cabinets in the clubs big and small, he had a nice Rickenbacker 4001S bass he had picked in England at one time (or whatever they called them RM something or other), the guitar player used two 100 watt Marshall heads each with one 4 x 12 Marshall cab, the soundman had the longest snake I've ever seen. I thought they sounded great.
Yep. Backlines in that era were absolute overkill. I’d use an 18” Acoustic 301 folded horn enclosure even in a small club back then. Cranked my amp up a little louder than usual one night and had the bartender scream at me I was starting to walk bottles and glasses off the shelves behind him.
Sure turned that thing down in a hurry before it got expensive.
I believe everyone should know the feeling of strapping in and riding the lightening, so have fun.

It reminds me of something Mae West once said, which was: "too much of a good thing.......can be WONDERFUL!"
Typically, I would ask you "how does it sound" once you get it all hooked up. But in this particular case, with a trifecta rig like that, I won't need to ask. I will be able to hear that Austin TX rig right here in Sacramento California just by opening my windows!

Just hook any 3 of your very nice music maker to a amp and ENJOY.
I would play one for each song.
You can use a small mixer with LCR outputs l to a amp c to a amp and r to a amp and ROCK ON.
Or just call 2 of use use up to help you play three amps.
If those smaller cabs are the straight back, you may blow them. They are only rated at 240 watts. 30 watt speakers x 8=240! They were sold in pairs to handle the original SVT at 300 plus a bit more depending on how hot they're running.
I've been using them for years, as long as they still sound clear they are in no danger. I did blow some in the 70's though.
