My expierience with rybski was not first rate at all. My time and my money absolutely meant nothing to him. He made several changes without consulting me. He was hard to get a hold of and when we did talk I got the feeling that he did not want to talk to me. Of coarse he did not give me that impression before he got my money. There was a big change in his attitude after he got my money. The last email I sent him before I asked for my money back took him two weeks to respond.he had not done anything. I wish I could show you the emails.

I'm taking delivery on a Rybski bass today and the whole process has gone without a hitch. I have nothing but good things to say about having a Rybsky bass built. That's just me, though.

I am very glad to see you here finally setting the record straight.

I also hope you understand how your behavior led to all the speculation in this thread calling your character into question.

You should've stuck around and engaged in a dialogue about your experience with this guy. As of today your video has had only 239 views...this thread has been viewed 2,454 times and as long as it stays on top with meaningful dialogue, it will keep getting more attention. I would actually like to see you start your own thread on this topic.

It is my feeling that this guy, the builder, should not get another dime from any TB member until he comes onto the forum and explains the situation. Rybski better realize that social media is important and there is no excuse for not engaging his customers where they gather to discuss the very market he is trying to make money with. The excuse that he is too busy building basses is not acceptable, he needs to address this! Other, busier and more prominent builders find time to participate here so I don't want to hear excuses. Too Busy? - Find time! Too Old School? - Get someone to help!

Like I said, I'm staying out of this, and I don't appreciate you trying to bring me back into it. I will not say anything else on the subject, and that includes what Rybski told me. I deleted my posts because they were second hand info. There are two sides to every story, and I want no part of either side.
All I know is that Rybski is building me a bass, and I've seen the neck and body in person as well as a number of pictures of the progress. I like his basses, so yes, I sing the praises of Rybski as a viable luthier for ME, and I'll sing those praises as loud as I want to. The situation you have is between you and him.

That's nice. He stole 2500$ dollars from me. Promised me a check on video, never sent it. He put me off for months and changed my order without even talking to me. But I'm glad you like your instruments.

I've never had a more difficult time trying to work with somebody in my life. He was avoiding my emails weeks before I asked for my money back. He told me several times my instrument was "going to suck". No wonder I asked for my money back.

This is somebody I was about to pay 5000$ for a guitar and he didn't have the time or care to talk to me. My experience with rybski was awful.

It can be played fretless or as a lap steel with a slide. The entire instument sits about 1 1/4" thick the body is about an 1". Van zandt truebucker. 570k pot. 1/8" mini jack. 24 3/4" scale. I'm currently making a bass.

Pickups load from the back. The utility covers are magnetic and come off by hand. Gives it a wierd look.

It took a couple of hours to do this. If you got a hand plain and a table saw that's all you need besides clamps and glue.
