Yes! If I get paid back I'll have the thread taken down and delete all my other comments as well. It would be the least I could do. No harm no foul.13 lbs would drive me nuts. Most basses, packed, that I get weigh in btwn 17-20 lbs. I think, anyhow. Not sure why that is. I guess a gigbag and packing may weigh more that think, and they are sometimes double boxed. 13 lbs. could just be wood. Or if packed lightly, could be a bass.
I'm excited. And it's not even my delivery.
Of course I'm hoping it's a bass. That might save this guy's reputation, AND make the OP happy.
To Chauncey - if this IS resolved, and of course this is your choice as the guy did put you through hell - you could ask the mods to delete this thread. I had a falling out with bass northwest a few years back, and my rant on talkbass went epic. 100s of posts ripping them to absolute shreds, and every few months it would pop up again. At one point it was the first thing that showed up if you googled bass northwest. I felt those guys were actually paying more dues than the initial complaint warranted, and about a year later I asked the powers that be here if they could end it. As proud as I was of that thread, it's no longer here. I actually feel better that it's gone. Irony was that my rant was just over a measly $25 shipping charge to return a faulty ubass. But their attitude regarding it is what made it epic. Anyhow, don't want to get that whole thing going again, so I'll stop now.
Here's hoping for the best for everyone.
WHATS IN THE BOX!!! WHATS IN THE BOX!!!!
How much did the package of wood that you sent him weigh? The package came up on tracking. 13 pounds, must be something!
The redwood was bought and sent from Oregon so I don't know and have not seen it in person. The brazilian rosewood was a heavy chunk but he cut it up to go into a neck blank so again I don't know. I'm very eager to find out!How much did the package of wood that you sent him weigh?
