Only if you want to. He was real nice to me on the phone when he picked up and I didn't expect that. I think if you were nice about it he would talk to you. Bholder might be right in that it might make him mad but he's mad at me. Maybe he wouldn't be mad if it was somebody else.

Well, I wouldn't know what it's like to be a superstar - nor would I want to! :) Yeah, he may have been informed there was a post...... ...man's busy, though, and we want him to stay focused! :roflmao::thumbsup:

I'm getting far too invested in this.

I saw your post. It's linked to a virtually blank Facebook page with no friends or information posted about who you are. Aside from the YouTube video and this thread there is not a lot known about you.

It's not intended to be a negative, but I have no context as to who you are.

I have no fog in this fight, I'm off to practice.

I believe that Chauncey was not a user of Social Media prior to this debacle. Let's not lose sight of what defines who we are...it certainly isn't our Facebook page.

Once again, I think it's completely ridiculous that the builder has not responded to all this. I bet he knows this thread is going on. I would be incredibly frustrated to be out $2500 (plus wood) for nothing! And, looking at the available evidence, I certainly wouldn't suggest him as a good option for someone looking to have a bass builder.

I joined FB to post my video to rybski's FB. I don't use it much. When I was sending him money I would check his FB everyday hoping I would see that he was building my guitar. That never happened, no mention of him building a guitar for me. It was the first red flag that made me feel like he was going to rip me off. He posts everything on his FB but no mention of me or that he was building a guitar. Every time he builds an instrument he posts tons of pictures. He told me twice he was building my instrument.

He knows about this thread for sure as I sent it to him and suggested he might want to respond.

Alright! Here's the scoop! Today I got an email from Rybski. The contents of this email is a tracking number for a fed ex package. However I have run the number several times on the fed ex tracking site and nothing comes up. There is usually a delay so I'll wait and keep everyone posted. It might be the wood, the check, court summons or maybe a bag of poo. When I have more info I will let everyone know.

Fingers crossed this works out well for all involved. And yeah, several hour delay before showing up in the tracking system is normal - particularly for FedEx - just experienced that with this evil haunted green monstrosity. :)

Once again the squeaky hinge gets the grease… so either it's your wood and with it a check for hopefully all of your money, or being wildly optimistic it could be the bass you ordered. The first would at least allow him to save face (and make you happy or at least very un-stressed) and the second possibility would likely be what turns this whole sad saga into a distant memory quickly. If it were my biz (which in terms of this fiasco it would never be) I would expressly opt for the second option to disappear it asap. Hopes are for either option for your sake - his story or biz is not really of my concern.
