I picked up some rye whiskey goodies.

I enjoyed listening to that song with some Knob Creek Cask Strength Rye.

That was a nice bass solo, liked how he grabbed the bow and then ditched it.

I find it surprisingly good for sipping.. it’s dangerous in that way.



I’ll try the Hudson for the New York style rye. Interested in that.

The Whistlepig ryes are a bit more expensive but definitely on my get list.
They seem to have the aged rye thing down, the old world cask finish might be the one I go with first.

Had a 12year old world today at a restaurant. It was very good I thought. Flavorful and smooth at the same time. I might say I like it better than their 15.

I like the Highland Parks 12 more than their 15 as well.

With Whistle Pig I’ll have to try a dram or two first before I spend on a bottle.

Including the awesome Knob Creek Cask Strength Rye At #2. One of my favorite drams!

If any of y'all like coffee like you like rye whiskey, this may be of interest to you:

The roaster is a friend of mine, but there is no benefit to me if anyone buys his coffee.
I've bought this coffee a couple different times, and it's excellent. Especially as a cold brew poured over a vanilla simple syrup.

Cracked open the Redemption Rye.

I generally like my liquor aged but this rye is young and spicy and it’s nice to change it up once in awhile.

Initial thoughts, surprised at the finish. It’s kind of long for such a young spirit with a clove taste. If you don’t like clove don’t drink this one.

92 proof and not to bad to sip on. I’d like to try an older rye from Redemption, bold flavors that keep me intrigued.

I like to try the Rittenhouse 100. I've had their 80 proof and really enjoyed it.

Never seen the 80 proof.
Only ever seen/had the 100.

Based on unscientrific assumptions, if the 80 proof is a weaker version, you'd most certainly enjoy the 100 proof.

My beer/liquor guy told me to go for the four year Willett.
