S/D Bassists #86 - Dollar Tree Romance

Nice thrift store, and I guess I'm not the only one with that Melvin's two disc set, I'd yet to see another one.

Are they out of print or something? I gots one somewhere. Some pretty good stuff if I remember correctly. I remember them coming out with a few albums that made me question my purchase back around the mid Nineties, when I was a starving college student. Albums like Prick and whatnot made me wish I bought a pizza instead. lol.

Speaking of the Melvins. I talked to Joe Preston (Thrones) this weekend. I confirmed with him that I saw him back when they opened for Gwar (America Must Be Destroyed) tour. Pretty cool guy and way cool music.

Morning! Little amp shot from yesterday for y'all:

So my band finally has a Bandcamp now that our drummer is no longer with us. We need to find a new drummer and we are going to keep truckin.

So this is just two songs we recorded in my basement as a demo. Pretty rough and not our best songs, but the two that were the easiest to pull off as most of the other songs have much trickier parts and solos. Also, not our doomiest songs.

Enjoying your bandcamp with my morning coffee, good stuff!

Looking spiffy Sam.

Thanks Gents! Going to let that first coat of tru oil have a few days to really soak in good. The wood on the body was way more thirsty than the neck wood for some reason. I didn't ant to put too much oil, but just enough to even it out where it was not taking the light coat of oil as well as other parts of the body. Can't wait to have all the coats done and slap the parts back on and wire it up!

Dig the new Avatar Julien! So that 15/6 alternative thread get a little pissy LOL

Yeah I just shook my head on that thread. "I like this cab but want something smaller..." The only answer is to spend 7 times as much for a Berg cab that doesnt go low. You know, when the OP could just build a smaller, lighter cab from the same line that he already knows he likes.

and a 15/6 thread got pissy? GET RIGHT OUT OF TOWN!

Hey, its "amps" its full of pissy b!tches.
