I have only bought one body from him so far, but met a dude who has been to his shop who had Bobby build him a Type O Negative Fakenbacker who said he was blown away by his work and shop. I had some long conversations with Bobby and he is just a down right nice guy and listens to what you want. Honestly he forgot to put the wiring routes and put the 51 control route instead of the telecaster route because he was hospitalized but I still made it work and am still happy with his work and will do more bodies from him. And he even offered to buy the drill bits I would need to do the routes and talk me through the work. He has a buddy who does necks that fit his work and I sent him the Dimarzio pickups so he could make the route for it. I know it is taking me forever to get the bass all together but once I have it all done will be the test, do the pickups line up correctly with the strings and does the action work, then I give I can give the best review of his work, but everything looked good in the mock up test run. So after I get enough coats of tru oil on it I will button it all up and post pics and give the best review of his work.

Sure are, whenever I diddle a Thunderbird or one of the old Warwick Streamer Standards with the double MEC passive soapbars in the TBird pickup locations on the body, they just sound Rock to me. My favorite bass tones, are Pbass(coming soon); Thunderbird, and Ric. So will do a build based around those tones if this 51 Tele build comes out good when all said and done.

So from what I can find, each one of those sides is 20"x20"x26.5", built from 3/4" ply? Looks like the "port is 2"x12", but I cant see if it has any depth. Is it just the 3/4" of the wood?

From what I can see, there is a lot of speaker in a medium/small box. This would bump up the mid range sensitivity, but with the band pass style box, that sensitivity is lost to some extent. The thing I am trying to figure out is where the roll off point is. I looks like there is a big spike and decline at 116hz, and it is already down 10dB at 81hz.

It is an interesting design, and does take advantage of lower displacement drivers. With the small air space, the higher displacement drivers look to not be able to breath as much as they need to, to take advantage of their design. I have a few more tweaks on this as I learn more about the design.

cool, i just wanna see it on that chart. remember the drivers i use arent stock, theyre the eminence legend CB15's (8 ohm drivers)

EDIT: if you hadnt already seen this, this looks like a good breakout of size/dimensions/bracing
