S/D Basstits part 42: Mostly harmless

Bread definitely makes or breaks a sandwich. I buy so many different types. I'm more concerned with the bread with meat sandwiches.
I haven't found a staple bread yet for anything. Honey Wheat is a good for whatever bread I guess.
Wonder Bread sticks to my teeth.

My old man is a believer in the pre-buttering, before peanut buttering.

I'll update, to include bread choice.

I celebrate the diverse rainbow of pb&j. Smooth or chunky, jelly, jams, preserves, it's all good. I just don't like any kind of sourdough type bread in the mix, otherwise it's a free for all. My favorite is actually pb&j burritos, which is typically chunky peanut butter with strawberry jam on a tortilla, rolled up. I used to make those for myself when I was little and I still do.

...I dont know how PB cant be natural...

Oh man, do you guys really want me on an organic food soapbox?

Watch the movie Food INC and I am sorry that you won't enjoy some food that you might be eating already. You can apply the information to not only animals, but fruits, vegetables, and anything else that you are not digging out of the ground (if you see the movie, that is)

*do not watch the movie if you have a weak stomach. You have been warned. :D

GMO food is almost unavoidable at this point, but you should try to limit it as much as you can.

That's what I was trying to think of the 13 grain. Yeah, that 2 bagged stuff is awesome! When I got some extra cash to spend haha. That and actually getting lunch meat cut at the deli.

If I quit smoking and drinking, I may go organic-ish...

Ballreich's and Ruffles are the only chips to accompany a meat sandwich properly. For me.

If someone didn't ask if it was cool first before they ate Lay's chips at practice, I would be pissed. And then continue to tell them how that's not a potato chip, and quit the band.

Honey and PB is excellent.
How about Mallow spread with PB? Oh man! Which I can't find anywhere here in Austin :(

I am fully aware normal PB has more stuff in it thats bad, healthy or not its still made out peanuts, so its natural. I've tried all the "natural" PBs, the unhealthy ones taste better to me, and you dont have to stir them before you spread.

#1 reason though, I dont want to stir PB.

Win.

PBJ: Whatever is in the cupboard. Not a fan of jam/jelly so it's just usually a PB with no J. Unless we have some homemade stuff on the shelf, then I'll have a little.

As for bread: My wife and I recently decided that we're adults, we eat fairly healthy food and we both don't really like wheat bread. So we switched to white. Holy **** I forgot how good it is. A grilled cheese w/ real butter on white bread is so goddamn good. Same with toast or PBJ or regular sandwiches. It won't be easy to go back to wheat after this.

Why are people so quick to call other people Hitler? Really.

I haven't seen any world leaders systematically destroy millions of people since... well, Hitler. So until someone is of equal status, no one else can be Hitler. (especially not a certain black man that is in charge of the Free World as we know it. If he was Hitler, the A-bomb would have already been dropped)

Rant over... interwebz make me mad sometimes...

There have been a few who have killed millions of people. Pol Pot especially comes to mind.

However, I do agree that the Hitler comparison gets thrown around WAY too much, especially in regards to American politicians.
