The bridge pup is plenty strong. I usually don't solo it, but so mix it up with the P pup to give a bit more grit and sizzle.

Well it's official. I LOVE FLATS on my Diamond P5. I only played them a little in a short rehearsal tonight, but man do they sound GREAT! I mean full and round, and silky smoooooth! Labella Deep Talkin' Flats.
I'm currently in a 60's/70's band that plays mainly Beatles/Eagles/Hollies type music.
Man, I'd kill for that bass, too bad they are 700e new here, and nobody is selling a used one! Played one in store, the pickups spacing is a lot reminiscent of jazz basses, and with both PUs on full I got the tone like my J, just way on steroids!
I totally find when I playing with just a little bit of added bass and treble from the onboard preamp I installed and play with the coil cut that I forget that I'm playing a P bass.
I can come around again to a P once that bridge is shut off and get all the lower mids one could ever want.
My Schecters are my most versatile basses that I own.

Cobalts do not come in long scale. Trust me..I know.
