It has a very solid B. I only played the stock strings, and my flats so far. Curious, how much does yours weigh?

That's awesome...
I put La bella on mine 40-60-80-100-128 with a tapered B
I put a standard B on mine. Do you think the tapered makes much of a difference?
Flats or Rounds?
I thought you were a D'Addario guy.![]()
) I wanted to go slightly lighter then I what I normally play, plus use those strings. Good Memory
Usually I am...D'Addario guy. Xls they need to use me in add saying they "They die slow and a sweat death" Maybe that bad a line![]()
But seriously that last a real long time, and are very very even sounding with a spongish feel. I don't like my strings to tight, I play with a bit of vibrato and take a little bit of bending liberties.
When I was trying to make the Carvin work, I picked up something like 6 sets of strings from Carvin when I was out there (which are basically re-branded La Bella).
Because the bass has a such a BIG feel (I guess I'm alone on that one) I wanted to go slightly lighter then I what I normally play, plus use those strings.
Rounds for me I need to hear Ggrr-Ggrr when I go back and forth. Ok I need coffee.
Good Memory

On another note...
This thread has refilled my GAS tank. I sold my P5 months ago in an act of abandonment of everything over 32" scale and I'm regretting it. This thread throws fuel onto my fire.
While perusing the Schecter site and comparing the original P5 and the new active model, I noticed the active model sports graphite reinforcing in the neck and the other does not. Do you guys think that the non-active model may soon have graphite also?
My P5 had a VERY stable neck. I was able to dial the action in lower than any of my basses (aside from a custom five times the price) and I wonder what caused the powers that be to decide on graphite in the active model.
Do you guys have issues with slight weather changes affecting the setup on your Schecter P5s?

That IS a great line, but...
SWEAT death is what happens when you are a macaroni cooker in a TV Dinner factory. I know.
SWEET death is what D'Addarios and that kid that falls in the chocolate in Willy Wonka endure.
Carry on.![]()
Aghh...Good call.

I told you I needed coffee.
