Schecter Hellcat VI

The weather's not too chilly right now... And it's only my cabs that were in the car... And I brought it all inside anyway this morning before work. This evening I'll haul it all upstairs and set it up. What sort of stuff would you like the soundclip to show?
uhh whatever you can do is fine. I'm sooooooo close to buying one, I just wish I could play it beforehand you know? But I can't seem to find one locally...tried a few guitar centers, none have any. So i'll have to order from Musicians Friend
Actually, I do have one request. Could you play some chords? I've seen only a handful of samples, but none have been actual chords. Doesn't matter which ones, I'm just curious as to how real chords sound.

UPDATE: I now have my rig set up for basic generic stuff (i.e., no effects whatsoever, flat settings). Let me know if you will want any other types of soundclips. Normally, with my current band, I play with an additional Vox combo on top of my stack (fed by the tuner output of my Markbass head) to take care of a sparkly slightly crunchy top end, and I usually have some light compression on and I often use a lot of heavy chorus. But for now I'll just do a totally dry, clean sound.

Damn it I recorded a soundclip showing the different pickup combinations etc. and right as I was about to wrap it up, I snagged the power cable of my digital recorder with the headstock and unplugged it, which rendered the whole file useless... I will try again tonight. I feel so defective... Haha
Gah I just found out that I probably have practice today after work, which means I'll need to break down my rig, lug it downstairs, and haul it to the place where we are practicing for the time being. Bleh... Maybe I can run home during my lunch break and at least record the "naked" soundclip, and then worry about recording another soundclip with my band setup, effects, etc. another day very soon....
OK, I recorded a quick and dirty soundfile during my lunch break. I haven't had a chance to upload it to sendspace.com yet (it's blocked at my work), but I'll be able to do it when I get home from work, before practice....

The amp is a Markbass LMII, with the controls set to flat (i.e., EQ knobs centered at 0), going through a Markbass Standard 151HF and a Bergantino HT210S.
The mike on my recorder picked up a little of the acoustic sound of the pick hitting the strings too.

so wow, thanks so much. You did a lot more than I was expecting lol. I love the sound of it...even when it's JUST the instrument with nothing on top. I'm probably going to order one tomorrow.
If you get the time, I would definitely be interested in hearing something with the effects, too. I'm mostly a bassist but do a little guitar. I only have a fuzz pedal that I use with my bass (an EHX Big Muff) but I've been thinking about checking out some pedals for my guitars, so using them with the Hellcat would be something I'd probably end up doing.

I'm glad you liked it! Within the next couple of days I'll set up my rig as if I'm playing with my band and then play some of the things I do in some of our songs. I use some mild compression, mild overdrive, and I use an EHX Clone Theory much of the time, with some delay and reverb here and there depending on the part. I don't really use my Hellcat anymore though; my Burns Barracuda is my main bass now, and my Hellcat is my backup for that.
I just had a thought... I really never use the middle + bridge pickup combination, but I wish the Hellcat had a neck + bridge combination.... What if I were to basically swap the neck and middle pickups (actually, just swap the wires)? That way, when the switch was in the position normally for middle + bridge, I'd be getting neck + bridge. It would also mean the switch positions for neck and middle would be swapped, but I could live with that... Would such a thing require anything unusual, i.e. reversing the order of the wires (not sure if there would be some kind of phase issue or anything)?
