That’s a fun kind of work though! The Schecter I acquired in a trade needed a good cleaning, set up, string change, etc. Pickup screws were stripped and that was a good 45 minutes spent carefully getting them out with needle nose pliers.

I had been debating a 6 string for a long time. I came across this one and couldn't resist! It's a custom finished Stiletto with Upgraded EMG 45JX Pickups and a Aguilar Op3 preamp. It included the case, the fret wrap, and a 4.5" Levy Suede strap. A nice package all around I would say! Plays fantastic!
Stilettos are great basses and yours is a beauty. I upgraded my Stiletto Studio 5 with EMG pickups and an Aguilar preamp and it performs like a boutique bass.
That is the most gorgeous Stiletto I have seen. I'm guessing an aftermarket custom finish?
I wasn't so much a fan of Stilettos until I saw this one. It just sat right with me with that finish. And you're right, the aguilar steps it up.

They're amazing stock and even better upgraded. I swapped in SD Blackouts a few years ago in my studio 4 and it screams bloody murder. I went and played a 5 with the factory stuff recently and was reminded of how good it already was before them. I had an aguilar preamp but took it out but now I'm thinking I should toss one back in to tone it down a bit. I've thought about refinishing mine and I think i finally found a luthier nearby I'd trust.

That bass looks gorgeous... The finish looks like a Red Reign finish seen on Apocalypse guitars, but blue, if that makes any sense. I'm curious about the sound too. Are those single coils in a soapbar housing?
I agree, it does look a bit like the red reign. And yes, they are X series J pickups in soapbar housings
Can't afford to do it anymore but if there's only one more bass I could own it would be that Schecter Sixx. It's like a less heavy, less neck dive and better sounding version of the T-Bird.
Got one of these in a trade last month. Really needed some TLC. Ended up swapping the bridge pieces out for inexpensive aftermarket versions which actually work just as well. The pieces that were on it were all corroded and stripped. I got the bass set up to play really well and comfortably.
Came across this and I am smitten.

To Me it honestly doesn't make sense, Active pickups in a semi hollow body, won't that defeat the purpose and do jack for sound?
I much prefer the new Ultra bass
That gold corsair could hang on my wall if it sounded like total poop.
This is actually the second new active Hollow/Semi-Hollow body bass that I’ve seen available within the last few months.
I don’t see the active electronics defeating any purpose. It simply fine tunes the tonal variety you already get with a hollow/semi-hollow and tone knobs and provides a lot less trips back and forth to your amp.
Regardless of the electronics I think it looks awesome though you can’t play awesome just by the finish or color.
I always liked the Gibson Les Paul and Memphis gold tops so I’m pretty sure that’s why this caught my eye. Wish I could find one to try out somewhere local.

The gold top one is very nice looking. I personally like the scale length. But as others have said, I'd likely replace the electronics, which seem a little underwhelming, likely to meet a specific price point.
