I know its just a custom 4 but I really like it and it's a Schecter
my #1 live bass...This is one of those 'mod it past its worth' projects...
What case fits the Diamond P 5 that will not break the bank?

Why does the G need to be de-tuned?

FB says the page isn't available...kinda makes me wonder if the ad was legit.
here it is, finally got it done up the way I planned, gold hardware, optima golds 40-95. sounds VERY nice
crappy pics, but it's hard to show the gold strings off using the flash off an Iphone lol! still, pretty happy with the way the bass looks![]()

it came with the standard black hardware, I replaced it with the gold and splurged on the strings. highly recommend optima golds, got the slightly lighter gauge which balances the warmer tone the softer gold puts out with a nice trebly edge. that said the bass is a pawn shop bargain at $100, tuners were $14, bridge was about the same price and the knobs were $10. the strings cost almost as much as I paid for the bass lmao! $76 for them so all in all I paid way less than I really should have had my luck been not so great. for a custom 4 it kicks assDid your bass come with the gold hardware, or did you just install gold strings? Looks nice by the way. I bought an elite 4 with all gold hardware, and I love it.
Thank you! it suits the bass very much and especially the strings I can't say enough about, bought a set 20+ years ago when they were maxima, had them on my 4001 and really enjoyed the tone, but locally they stopped distribution, happily nowadays one can find them for a reasonable price online, the money spent on 3-4 sets go into one set of optima golds, but they do last the time one would go through said sets, especially if you play 2 hours a day regularly like I do, time will tell how long they hold up, but for the price I payed I am more than satisfied with the feel and tone they provide!I like the Gold on that particular bass.. well done..
