EMG-35hz pickups. everything was stock when I bought it, just switched the hardware and strings as described earlier. was initially considering going all passive, but had a change of heart, I'm pretty well satisfied with the overall tone and playability so I'll leave well enough alone now

gary - nice look w/the gold. I've thought about redoing my Stiletto w/gold hardware as well, and now I have a better idea s to what it might look like.

I have a blue Warwick Katana I ordered with gold hardware. I put gold strings on it and it looked really good, but I haven't been able to find them again. I thought they were DRs, but they may have been Elixirs. Either way, I haven't seen them in years.

Optima golds are what I have, 24 carat and still available on eBay for roundabout 76-80 dollars u.s.

You might check with your GC...ask if they have a Warwick Rockbag available. I've picked up two of those for around $30 each, after someone bought a Warwick and/but wanted something other than the bag it came with. The store may or may not have such a bag on display, but they apparently will deal extras off if they have them.

Just ordered the same bass from MF for $299. This is actually my third Schecter behind my Custom-4 and Studio-4 fretless; you'll definitely love your Schecter if it's anything like my other basses from them.

Bought my first schecter. It's a stiletto studio 5. I absolutely love it out of all the basses I've ever played.

Only payee $350 for it, which I understand is a great deal.

Also as I was reading there's two style of the studio 5, an older version and a newer version? Which is mine? What's the difference? Also it's an 18 volt, not sure if it was modified or not to take 2 9v's? Pictures attached. Again I only paid $350, not sure what it's going for(but I'm keeping it, this thing is incredible, I'll never sell it lol.

I'm not positive, but I think yours is an early version...main difference being the finish and a minor change in the electronics. You could try contacting Schecter directly and asking them...they're pretty good about such things.

Thanks man. One thing I noticed was the placement of the battery tray. The other noodle its almost in the middle of the body.

Truth. I worked at a GC for years and we have at least a dozen extra Warwick/RockBass bags we dearly wanted to sell.

One thing I don't understand is why the stores just don't put them on display...unless doing so violates a dealer agreement or something. Are the bags not supposed to be sold on their own?
