Hi All,
I just purchased a Schecter Diamond Series Elite-4. Beautiful, used bass, produced in 2005. Since the knobs, tuners and bridge are all different shades of gold, I'm thinking of replacing all the hardware with black. I've located tuners and knobs, but no S-Tek bridge in black. Any ideas? As a last resort, I may spray paint it black. Thank you!

If you can't find one, you may consider getting the original powder coated. Not sure how it would look, but it would be more durable than paint.

I recently added an Aguliar OBP-3 preamp to my Hellraiser Extreme-5. It's taken the bass from great sounding to out of bounds. I have the original EMG 3-band preamp if anyone`s interested. It will be stupidly inexpensive.

In the past, I have picked mine up from ebay. Most are sold from China, but overall get to you pretty quickly. HERE is an example.
You can probably find the ones that do not have the third hole for the string-through body option if you care.

Picked up an Omen Extreme-4 when it was on sale at GC! $399
I often play a Schecter Riot-4 and 5 Session that's hanging on the walls at GC and I'm always REALLY impressed, but it's out of my price range. Every Schecter I get to play makes a big impression on me. Quality basses. Once I noticed this on sale and I realized it was by far the best available bass for under $400, I had to get it! Traded in my Dean (yeah, the green one...) for a full refund and got this one.
Put some GHS tapewounds on it and it's good to go! However, the tapewound strings were a bit floppy, and there was saddle buzz on the G-string (heh) so I took it to Guitar Center. The repair guy adjusted the truss rod and swapped out the spring in the bridge with a larger one. Solved the problem. And he didn't even charge me for the setup!
Looks great and plays great, I feel like this bass really is worth more than the price tag.

I've owned Fender (Obviously), ESP/LTD, an Ibanez, and now a Schecter. I've played far more manufacturers than that, just to try them out. After I bought my Diamond P Plus I've barely touched my Fender P-Basses. Just picked up my first Schecter bass. I didn't even know about the Stiletto Session basses until I came across them online a couple of days ago. Looked like a good fit for me - active EMG's (which seem to be the pickups that work best for me), the narrow nut width I prefer, interesting body and headstock shapes and nice overall look. I decided to snag the fretless, since I haven't had a decent fretless in a while.
Very nice bass. Arrived with a good setup and playing great. The sound is pretty much what I expected from a bass with active EMG's...puts me in mind of demos I've heard of fretless Steinbergers. A nice surprise is the neck pickup. The EMG 35J seems to be a good pickup in that position - soloed, it sings nicely and sounds full but not boomy. The neck pickup does pick up a bit of an electronic buzz from my recording gear in a more noticeable way than the bridge humbucker, but not enough to be an issue (my Ibanez ATK picks up more noise than the 35J on this bass does). I was prepared to be replacing the flatwound strings with rounds if necessary, but with the EMG's, it sounds pretty articulate even with flats, so I may just leave them.

Does anybody have a SCHECTER BLACKJACK ATX C4 they would want to trade even for a SCHECTER Dale Stewart Model???? I will throw in the Hardshell case just to make it happen........Looking for the Black Satin version......please somebody help me make this happen....email me at [email protected] if interested
If you guys have any advice, I'd appreciate it. Looking at a case on CL, link below, but can't find any dimensions to ask the guy if it will fit my bass. We're a fair distance from each other and I don't want to waste his time meeting.
I have a 2003 Stilleto Elite 5, and he's not sure of the model for the case. Tried comparing the pictures against Schecter's site and can't tell if it will fit or it's a "C" model. Schecter doesn't have much information on dimensions.

Just found this thread! I've been a proud owner of a Schecter Hellraiser Extreme 4 since 2013! Great bass for metal! I also own an Ibanez Btb1406e and a Music Man Stingray Slo Special. Regardless, I am a Schecter owner and very proud to admit it.
What's wrong with your Dale Stewart model?? Why you wanna trade it? Do you think the Hellraiser Extreme is that much better?

BONEYARD, not meaning to poke a bear, as I do have that exact bass, but unfortunately, I love it and have no interest in trading it. Sorry.
But as I was perusing this HUGE thread, I noticed back on page 30 (dated late 2013) where you posted that you posted that you DID have a new HellRaiser Extreme. Did you get rid of that for the Dale Stewart or what?
