Schecter Owners Club, part 3

In all my time playing bass, there are two things I NEVER thought I’d say.

1. I’m buying a Schecter 5 string.
2. I’m buying a bass with active electronics (again).

I currently have on order, a Stiletto Stealth 5. Yes, I fit the stereotype. Metal bass player (also still weird to say out loud), black bass, low tuning... after owning a nice MIG Wick with MEC jazz pickups, I never thought I’d own another active bass. I had a few problems with it and didn’t care for the sound after tech went through it (neck was gorgeous though). Fast forward, saw a stealth 4 string at GC, tried it, liked it, and ordered a 5er with 20% off. I am hoping the diamond P pickups and whatever they call the MM, sound as good in the 5 string version. I’m honestly excited about this purchase. Anyone have any experience with the MM style 5 pup, or this bass in general?

I’ve played a lot of different basses. I have friends that own gear and I try their stuff too. My current main is a 4 string custom Carvin jazz SB job. This is a big leap for me. I will report back. The 4 was definitely nice. Hoping the 5 is as nice.

Yup. Same thing happened to me. My son has the Stiletto Stage 4 with Rockbass pickups. His is a four. They do active and passive. Good luck with your new vass. I'm gonna assume you got the black one.

If you decide to sell the Monster Tone's, please let me know. I've got 3 set's and would love to have more. I've got a couple of Model T's I could put them in.

Yeah will do. Actually even if they sound good still will probably go with the dimarzios since along with the sound i also love the all black look including the black poles.

I understand,if you all think,I am fickle,and crazy! Talking to the person I sold the white transparent Model T about a year ago. He asked if I was interested in buying it back? I offered him what I sold it to him for,but haven't got an answer back from him yet? Offered him $400 with Schecter hard shell case. I have a 2007 Schecter HellRaiser for sale here in the Classifieds.

Well just closed the deal on the transparent 2001

Model T,bought back today. Sold and Bought it back here local. Has the nice Schecter hard shell case,also. Suppose to drop it off here at the house this Monday,or Tuesday on his way home from work. It will be my main bass, if the other two basses sell.

Cool, no problem. I also like the trans white. The Geezer Butler Signature EMG's are Passive w/ exposed pole pieces, no battery. One of the best passive P/J sets on the market, IMO.

Fender replacement parts. I used to have their PU’s but one failed. Joe Bardens now.

Share an update,if you don't mind? Sold the HellRaiser 4 locally. Just picked up the Mary Kaye(transparent white)Model T,seller just dropped off to me. Have couple pictures,of the neck plate,and back of the head stock. Neck plate has the large printed Schecter on the plate,and back of head stock don't have the decal that is usually shows made in Korea,or China? I thought this might have been a prototype? It is active version,with battery under the control plate? Unless someone decided to make it an active bass?

My 01 Burst has the same features also but, mine has the Drop Tuner. Maybe all the 2001's are like that or who knows.

Does your MK White Model T have the wide P neck 1.653" or the thin J neck 1.496" ?? My burst has the thin J neck on it. Mine actually measures 1.475 . They must have did some extra sanding on this one, lol. Very thin.

According to the serial #'s, there was 80 instrument's built between your MK White Model T and my Burst.
That's pretty cool. IMO.

I've removed the Bridge Pickup Volume control on all 4 of my Model T's and My Michael Anthony because I have no use for the bridge pickup. I've never liked the sound of a Bridge pickup in any Bass I've ever played.

Must have forgot about the volume control on each pickup. I like the feature on the G&L L2000 with 3 way toggle switch for both pickups,or neck,or just the bridge.

Yes the first two knobs on a Model- T are volume controls. I was just playing mine tonight:

My Michael Anthony Signature came wired Volume/Tone/3 Way Selector Switch. I eliminated the Switch and move the Tone Control to the Switch position.
Your Model T could be modded very easily, eliminating one of the Volume Controls and adding a Switch.
